Euphoria morning is one of my all time top favorite albums
Oh shit this ain't euphoria morning. Scream is still good
Wondered if you’d get to this one. I really like it actually. People r rough on this album but he wanted to try something different and that’s cool to me. Why not! I don’t think you’ve done Cleaning my Gun yet. Great song 😊
It is very beautiful.
Yeah, this rock remix version is a lot better than the original. It's poppy, but not bad. And you're right that it's the production people don't like. Most of the songs on Scream would be fine (though not his best) if it was gone. The only one I really dislike, even if the production was gone is "Part Of Me." To me, it sounds very out of character for him. Anyway, you should react to the original version for comparison.
This is probably the best song of his that flies under the radar because of its association with Scream. This isn't the version on the album. This one and another track from the album got reworked for a "Rock version." It was called that up until maybe 2 years ago when it changed to Howard Benson remix. If I remember correctly, I think he was floating the idea of redoing the whole album like this, but rejoining Soundgarden sidetracked the whole thing.
*Rory.* Thanks 😊 This is possibly his poppiest song, and yes, it's from Scream. He had some co-writers on this. I think this 'rock' remix is better than the album cut, which has the Timbaland cheesiness. It's hard for me to be overly critical of Chris 🥰
Yeah I can definitely tell the bits the writers wrote I think 😅 I reckon the chorus 😂
@@Roryreacts - A big contrast with the Higher Truth album, where he wrote all the songs. And Euphoria Mourning also comes across as much truer to 'him,' even though there was a huge influence from Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider from Eleven, who co-produced the album and co-wrote some tracks. In any event, he explored something new here. One of the many reasons we love him. 🥰
@@Roryreacts The video clichés make this seem even poppier. But really, you can look past the clouds and misty roses, because who can resist a dark and tortured Chris randomly playing guitar on a beach and rolling around in snowbanks?! 😄❤
THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! JUST WANTED TO SAY, PEARL JAM DID A CONCERT IN SEATTLE JUST IN THE LAST FEW DAYS. EDDIE WAS ON THE STAGE BY HIMSELF WITH ACOUSTIC GUITAR SINGING "HURT" BY NIN OR JOHNNY CASH. IT WAS VERY EMOTIONAL. HE FIRST SAID 'I WISHED I HAD SOME MUSICIANS THAT AREN'T HERE ANYMORE ON HIS GUEST LIST AND HE SANG WITH ALOT OF EMOTIONS AND THE CROWD WAS OVERWHELMED 😢💔. ANYHOW, THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL SONG BY CHRIS CORNELL!! RIP CHRIS CORNELL!! GOOD CALL RORY 💙 AND THANK YOU LYDIA FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL REQUEST!! 😊💓🔥🤘✌️
😊
❤ requesting a reaction to Soundgarden: Fell On Black Days
Hello Rory, here's an artist I've heard you speak fondly of and so I thought you might enjoy giving this song by him a listen, if interested. "Rory Gallagher - Out On The Western Plain (Live At The Cork Opera House, Ireland 1987)" (by the channel: Rory Gallagher) --This classic to tune has a rich history; it was first written by Leadbelly in 1933. However, Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher covered the song in 1975 and is from his album called "Against The Grain." It is a great tune that showcases Gallagher's masterful guitar work and blues rock style. And as always, I enjoyed rocking with you, Rory. Thanks for sharing. peace out~
This is considered the "rock remix." the original was a bit slower, with a lot more electronic sounds.
There is nothing wrong with being biased towards Chris. 😊
EDDIE SANG IT ABOUT ALL THE MUSICIANS THAT DIED THAT WERE FROM SEATTLE, ANDREW WOOD AND KURT COBAIN AND LAYNE STALEY AND MIKE STARR AND CHRIS CORNELL AND MARK LANEGAN. IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL MOMENT. I CRIED THROUGH OUT THE PERFORMANCE 😢 IM SORRY IM RAMBLING. I JUST WANTED TO MENTIONED IT.
I love Chris but the producers made him sound generic and like all the other pop acts out there.
