This is called atwemo not poloo. Poloo is made with the matured middle layer of grated coconut.

Try n do yours with the right measurements, I love this when I was little. Ghana we don't have soft flour so I'm guessing it's bread flour she used because if the baking and soda she used

My family is from the Caribbean (Antigua and Trinidad) we make something similar to Chin Chin. We call our version sweet fried dumplings or sugar dumplings. Going to try version this weekend.
