      @@robbcollins3727 Thank you! I have another ride experience posting from Arizona soon, between Phoenix and Tucson, effectively in the Sonoran Desert, watch this space 😀

    Brown's... I was out there a few weeks ago for the first time in years. I need to do more gravel exploration in this town I call home for the time being. Gravel is everywhere out here.

      I knocked out a ride the next day between Tuscon and Phoenix... very isolated, pretty much the Sonoran Desert.

      @GravelCyclist We have a few rides planned between Florence and Tuscan this winter. Soooo much good stuff down that way. Looking forward to that video!

    Ridden there a bunch. It's so weird riding casually through terrain that would have been insanely dangerous to find yourself in not that long ago. What a time we live in.

    Where you turned around at the top of the hill where the pavement ends north of Tonto Hills, FS24 (gravel road) continues for dozens of miles all the way to Camp Verde and beyond with tons of side roads. Cheers. UF 94-98

      Thank you, a shame we were short on time. However, I rode the next day in the Sonoran Desert between Tucson and Phoenix... that ride got spicy. Video coming later.

    I've lived in Scottsdale for 24 years now and absolutely love it here. One piece of advice to our visitors: don't pet the fuzzy cactus.

    • @GravelCyclist
      @GravelCyclist  Месяц назад

      Excellent advice about the cactus! You must have seen so much change in the area. I visited way way back in 2001, and development has exploded. Definitely a bit sad in a way, IMHO.

    I live in Scottsdale but have no idea of any gravel routes like you just rode.. Looks awesome! are you on strava or do you have any maps of the route you just rode in this video?

      Hello, sorry for the delay in replying. I am not on Strava, I don't upload anywhere. I blindly followed along. I make reference to the trails we rode in the video description. Those trails were no worries on a drop bar gravel bike. Good luck!

    How come you cycle so much in the US? Do you live there or are you there on vacation frequently, if I may ask? Great videos by the way, please keep it up 🎉

      Hi there, thanks for your question. I am originally from Australia, but reside most of the year in North Florida. I'm fortunate to be a citizen of both Australia and the USA. The content you see here is from my vacation / limited spare time; I work a regular job like many of us, but I am graced with a generous amount of vacation, and some good flexibility. Hoping I'll be riding again in Europe and Australia in 2025, stay tuned!

      I ride all of this on a regular basis and can state that rarely do thorns or flats cause issues with tubeless tires. Whether a gravel rig or a mountain bike, it makes no difference. Even on the road bike, the tubeless setup truly keeps flats from spoiling rides I north Scottsdale.
