    Great ❤ interview. Chris went from preacher to coach to scientist 👨‍🔬. Really insightful. Cool stories. I know, I’ll re watch this video/listen to this interview a half dozen times before summer. I’m looking forward to the next interview

    I love Chris's stuff, but Camille didn't dominate on the last day of her Games championship (2014). Annie did. Camille's last 3 event placings were 6-12-5 and Annie was 1-2-1.

    Nice guy but completely wrong about the fat adaption stuff when it comes to Froning's performance at the games.

      Assuming at the peak of his fitness, Rich may have been able to utilize free fatty acids better than his fellow athletes, it would not account for the difference in why Rich was better on Sunday. Almost every event in CrossFit takes place in the severe intensity domain, so the fuel source used is going to be primarily carbohydrates.
      My bet would be that Rich was just fitter than everyone so he was able to better recover after each day. In his documentary at the 2014 games the guy is eating papa johns and getting a milkshake after one of the days, he wasn't eating a high fat, low carb diet.

    For a 100 miler, being ~ 3 hours off a race winner is by no means an "elite performance". Its a great performance and kudos to RF for taking up the challenge, but CH exaggeration of his coached athletes is grating and undermines his credibility. In the CF world, he sounds extremely knowledgeable but for anyone who follows endurance training, it's fairly standard information. Do pro CF coaches really know that little about endurance training? I would love to hear more detail on how he took a weak runner to a strong runner in a short period...because that's not common

      @@TheSevanPodcast but you can't just make up a category and arbitrarily designate that performance as elite. MTB pros at his height 65kg - 70kg but amateurs are not typically as extreme with weight cuts
