    Using your child's death as an excuse to cheat is the next level of sick.

    Okay on story 2, the problem's not about a goddamn wedding date. Sis pointing out she's like this with all her friends too makes it clear the SIL is just a possessive lunatic, who can't stand not being the only one in her life.

      I agree, but you ask "who cares"... OP does. That's what matters. If he didn't care, he wouldn't be hurt by her actions. It's not a simple matter, discarding someone he's considered a partner for most of his life. She was still his wife, the mother of his son, that doesn't go away because he's hurt, it's why he hurts.
      Yeah, he needed to leave her, but let's not pretend that's an easy decision. It's a simple thing to decide, but not easy.
      Greif does make people impulsive. When they feel they have nothing left to lose, they stop considering the consequences of their actions because they don't really care what happens to them.
      BUT... they don't lose sight of how their actions impact others. Many in that situation actually have the opposite problem, they become too selfless, focus all their energy on other people at their own expense. But she knew her actions would hurt her husband, and she did it anyway. Greif may have made her reckless, but it didn't turn her into what she became. Her explanation was half the truth at best.
      There were so many other ways to cope, that she chose infidelity says a lot about who she is. That she chose his best friend... grief didn't make her attracted to him, just more willing to act on it. That she blamed her actions on the memory of their son is beyond despicable.
      OP is realizing that she was NEVER the person he thought she was. How many of those cherished memories of his family were lies? It re-writes your memory, changes the context of everything. If he looks in the family photo album, does he even see his wife in the pictures, or just a familiar stranger? Who is that imposter in the white dress on his wedding day? That's the most insidious part, it doesn't just take away the future he hoped to have with her, it exposed their past as a work of fiction he allowed himself to believe. It's normal for people to struggle with acknowledging that.
      He lost his best friend, his wife, and his son. But he still has his integrity. That was not compromised. So he needs to ask himself "Is this action consistent with the man I want to be". That question will guide him through every decision, if he's wise enough to understand this (and it seems he is). So he hasn't destroyed his ex, likely out of respect for himself and his son's memory. He's being charitable, but on his own terms. OP sounds like a good man. I think he handled it well.
      On the plus side, men over 50 tend to do extremely well on the dating scene, lol. All those single moms who now face an empty nest. There is no shortage of women looking for a partner, and very little competition on his side. When he's ready, he will rebound very well.

    I honestly praise the level headedness of a lot of OPs who catch their partner in the act of cheating or finding out without getting as violent as I know I would get 💀💀 I struggle with empathy and making connections to people and when those bonds get broken I'm not a good person about it at all, especially if I was deeply hurt in the process. I might genuinely go to prison if I were to ever catch my partner cheating because it would be two lives gone that day in a visceral way.

    1st story: this lady was cheating before the son died.
    And I'm getting so tired of that saying against my better judgement.
    You knew what the outcome was going to be when you decided to go there so it's not against your better judgement you decided to go there because you wanted the dirty details which was really none because the dude was just f****** your wife.
    Why would you want to get details you seen it with your own eyes that right there tells the story in itself.
    But I guess some people just can't get past the fact of not seeing the hot dog in the bun.

  • @cameron765
    @cameron765 Месяц назад +27

    Story 3:
    Illegal immigrants do affect the places they enter because you have a group of people with different political and cultural views trying to coexist where others have already established their cultures and beliefs. This often leads to clashes of opinions that impact people's lives. If you don’t believe me, look at the United Kingdom as a prime example.
    Illegal immigrants often take many low-level jobs because companies can pay them significantly lower wages than actual citizens. Why would these companies hire citizens when they can pay less? The United States recently opened up four million jobs, but almost all of those went to illegal immigrants, not Americans.
    Specifically in America, illegal immigrants have a significant impact on Black and Hispanic Americans. The education levels in these communities are often lower, resulting in many individuals working in low-level jobs. When illegal immigrants enter the workforce, they often displace these individuals.
    So anyone who tries to tell you that illegal immigrants don’t affect the places they move into is simply misinformed or trying to push a progressive agenda.

    • @princessmarlena1359
      @princessmarlena1359 Месяц назад +14

      Exactly. Plus they aren’t vetted by customs for diseases, or for criminal backgrounds, or to be sure they don’t have past domestic arrests and any deportation. OP’s grandma’s situation was way different from that of today’s I.I.’s (stupid YT keeps removing my replies, F this site).

      Pretty disgusting viewpoint. Do you believe that these illegal immigrants are superior to you in that they are better qualified to fill these jobs, or is it instead the businesses that we should be punishing and fighting against? The businesses are playing the oldest scam in the world, drawing your attention elsewhere while they pick your pocket. Stop fighting against people just trying to live and instead unite against those on top who refuse to make your life better.

    I swear to god that i hate the arguments about illegal immigrants. We are human. We are nomadic people. And Americans cant talk bad about immigrants since their entire country is stolen land. Are black people illegal immigrants? No? Why? Because the white ancestors of the people who slaughtered the natives to take their land said they could come over by force to oh so graciously work their fields for free for generations? And why are they allowed to do that? Because their god said theu could?
    We are all human. While our outside appearances are different, we are all the same inside (with some exceptions due to various illnesses, injurys, mutations, or birth defects) so wjy do we hate one another so damn much!?

      @@sinbadwilliams7186 this is a dumb argument. No land truly belongs to anyone. The natives were conquered which means the land is no longer theirs. It’s not a good thing but it’s a fact of life. What about the wild life that dominated the area before human began to settle there, Shouldn’t that land belong to them? What about the warring tribes in the americas who killed each other to take over the other’s land before any settlers set foot on the shores? Would you have blamed the natives for not allowing others to immigrate into their land even though they conquered it from another tribe? It’s not about hate it’s about protecting one’s people. You cannot have open borders that you so proudly believe is good because that is an invitation to get invaded by another country. The world is not all peace and love, if countries followed you mindset many countries would be wiped off the map.

      @@pablosanz40k the countries people come first. If someone wants to seek asylum then they go through the port of entry the legal way. Exactly, they do the jobs the citizens of that country would not do for minimal pay and that is a problem. Companies only care about profit so if they can pay someone cheaper than another then that is what they will do. Which removes many employment opportunities for the citizens of that country.

    I mean yea, what happened in Europe was horrid, and she did what she had to, but it doesn't mean she's right, just that she survived. Just because a fox is hungry doesn't mean the farmer is going to just let it take his chickens from him. His livelihood depends on the chickens.
    Illegal immigrants are the fox, the chickens are the jobs, and the farmer are the legal citizens.
