It was hinted that Russell Crowe’s character went off the deep end at the beginning of Unhinged due to his failed marriage which is why he ends up murdering his ex-wife and her boyfriend. It was that trigger which created the domino effect for the events of the rest of the film. “Just one bad day.” 👌🏼

Just returned from the cinema watching this. Goddamn bloody good film. Russell Crow was so convincing as a person who has not had the best of luck in life, but tried until it all unraveled. You never know what the person next to you has experienced. Sometimes it is best to shake it off and move one. I would have wanted it to be longer, but the point was well received in 90 minutes. When this arrives in your cinema, I recommend you go see it!

Well the man did apologize for his wrongdoing, and informed the lady that her use of the horn was unnecessary, rude and hurt his feeling, so he simply wanted an apology, but apparently she didn't have the common courtesy. Whether you're in the right or wrong if someone expresses that you hurt their feeling you apologize.. unless your horribly inconsiderate

You see it throughout the movie, her struggling and people yelling at her for the way she's driving despite clearly being under duress. She did need to apologize, for the part she played in making a bad situation worse. We all have the opportunity to deescalate things, and yet too often we make the wrong choices. That's what the movie is trying to say. Crowe's character is practically a force of nature at this point, a hurricane, and she didn't do herself any favors putting herself in his way. You keep starting stuff with people acting like everyone will understand, eventually you start it with the wrong person.

I didn't want to watch this movie because it was clear I wouldn't feel bad for the protagonist and I figured without that it would fall flat. It was actually a pretty good movie and I'm glad I watched it. The main character makes sensible choices, does the things I would do next, etc. so it isn't a frustrating as it could be. The movie soars thanks to Russel Crowe, who no actor can top in psycho roles like this. With that said, the main character was just awful. She acted like the center of the universe, like her bad day is everyone else's problem and like no one on earth could be having similar trouble. You see it throughout the movie in reverse, with people yelling at her for the way she's driving despite clearly being under extreme stress and panic. Only when she was out of the car did anyone ask if she was okay or connect with her emotionally - I think that was intentional. And she did need to apologize, for the part she played in making a bad situation worse. We all have the opportunity to deescalate things, and yet too often we make the wrong choice. Excellent performance by Crowe. In certain scenes, he looked and sounded more like John Goodman.
I didn't want to watch this movie because it was clear I wouldn't feel bad for the protagonist and I figured without that it would fall flat.
It was actually a pretty good movie and I'm glad I watched it. The main character makes sensible choices, does the things I would do next, etc. so it isn't a frustrating as it could be. The movie soars thanks to Russel Crowe, who no actor can top in psycho roles like this.
With that said, the main character was just awful. She acted like the center of the universe, like her bad day is everyone else's problem and like no one on earth could be having similar trouble. You see it throughout the movie in reverse, with people yelling at her for the way she's driving despite clearly being under extreme stress and panic. Only when she was out of the car did anyone ask if she was okay or connect with her emotionally - I think that was intentional.
And she did need to apologize, for the part she played in making a bad situation worse. We all have the opportunity to deescalate things, and yet too often we make the wrong choice. That's what the movie is trying to say.
Crowe's character is practically a force of nature at this point, a hurricane, and she didn't do herself any favors putting herself in his way. You keep starting stuff with people acting like everyone will understand, eventually you start it with the wrong person.
Exactly how I felt. I will give it a watch now, thanks.
