Because by the look and sound of this video they replaced the musicians with Yanks who totally destroyed this song. Who are those other musicians, you can see by the looks on the original members looking at each other thinking WTF!
You've no idea how often I play this album, I listen to it so much it's not funny. Painless is without a doubt my favourite song on the album, this love version is just blowing me away, I can't get enough of it, especially the chorus.
I don’t know what guitar is played in the studio version but the stratacaster and lead and the acoustic sound mad together. It’s got a real raw country sound.
Weird how they weren't allowed to perform on their own as a band, saw Eddie giving the house bass player the stink eye, and where is Frank ? How can Anton Fig possibly play this better than the original drummer.
The Baby Animals were not allowed to perform as a band they were only allowed to accompany the Late Night Band. The drummer opted out of playing the tambourine (not joking).
Chris ACT not true. Plenty of bands didn’t have the house band join or replace them. It was the late night leaders who made this decision. Sorry Led Zeppelin, John Bonham has to sit this one out? Union rules. They were a young band getting pushed around by jerks.
Sadly Baby Animals appeared just as the pub rock scene collapsed. They deserved a much bigger following
Powerful and extremely underrated. Suze DeMarchi is a powerhouse
Aussie rock icons who should have been huge worldwide, great live band
steecoe: thanks for posting. Cheers!🥨
Incredibly talented band, great album, beautiful lead singer with strong vocals. How did they not catch on in the US? SMH.

@@jackko21 Well, for the most part you're right, there are songs I like more than others, but there aren't any songs on the album I don't like.
BACK Louder than ever in 2021 rock on Baby Animals and Suze. Queen of OZ ROCK
A beautiful woman with a beautiful song. An Aussie classic
Really tough in such a contrived atmosphere, but an awesome results!
Excellent......forgotten Band!!!

Best song that bass players ever played.
Great chic that one. Dave's guitar wasn't plugged in hahahaha Seen them many many times here in Oz.
Suze Demache is such a hot rock goddess!
Demarchi sorry.
what happened to the solo?
Poor Dave - lost his lead sound at the crucial moment.....
no distortion for the solo, poor bugger.

The had to use the house band, them's the rules.
Nice performance but why did they need four guitars?
+Paulo Pereira This is actually Baby Animals accompanied by the David Letterman house band, so more guitars than normal.
Thanks, steecoe.

Musician union rules in New York. Gotta use the house band.

So strange to be forced to play with the house Backing Band...
Unions.
