  • Traditionally you can make grape leaves with either beef or make them vegetarian. Today I am showing you the vegetarian stuffed grape leaves which are served cold.
For assistance with rolling the grape leaves this is a helpful tool

You are so welcome! I love getting creative and finding ways to add more protein to meals since my daughters are vegetarian.

You remind me of my Teta 🥰… I can’t wait to make this. I think my family also put split chickpeas in that same mix and sometimes I roll it in silverbeet leaves (I think it’s called Swiss Chard in America)when I can’t get vine leaves.

Thank you! Yes that is good too. A fun little tip; after making the chard rolls you can make a sandwich out of it with pita and add labne it is sooooo good.

    Beautiful
    !!!!
my aunt used to make it with the ground lamb or beef when I should add it and what kind of ground meat you recommended? My aunt used to add some Bahrat spice into the meat. Also, if I am using the leaves from the jar, do I have to wash them and let them dry? Thank you thank you thank you.🙏🌺

Hello. If you are using the grape leaves from the jar yes you should rinse them and drain the water. No need to let them dry. Also, if you are going to make them with meat you need to add the ground lamb or beef with the rice mixture. I have a video on how to make stuffed grape leaves with meat I think you will find it helpful. Best of luck! Let me know if you have any more questions.
