Big thank you to .Strandberg* for loaning me this guitar to review. strandbergguitars.com/

They probed you? That's where the headstock went.
I’ll check.
Lmao!🤣
"There's no headstock, so you can't complain about the headstock design" - best sales pitch of a headless after "no headstock means easier probing"
😂😂
Very nice to see that guitar in your hands! I find your channel very inspiring as I started my own recently, love the approach you take and the b roll is great!
Awesome as always!! Great Strandberg lend you the guitar for a review. Actually really like this one! Is beautiful!
Thanks!
Always nice to see a vid from you, my dude! Nice tunes!
Thanks!
Under 3k subs mate and your vids are much more fun/enjoyable/better quality than way bigger channels - keep up the great work, I love to see alerts from you. As for the guitar I just cannot get into headless guitars, I just feel it will always distract me and feel weird....but in saying that I used to feel the same about Tele's in general so who knows!
Thanks! I feel you on the headless thing. They used to drive me nuts. I thought it was a gimmick to get metal dudes to buy “edgy” guitars. But it’s amazing to play.
Great review! I have a headless Status Streamline bass which I love, and as a long time tele player I think this has to be my next axe. And nice to see a guitar channel that doesn't take itself too seriously, mac debate indeed!
If you like Teles and headless instruments then it’s a must!
So here’s the thing. Leo fender loved innovation. He was constantly obsessed with making good better and better. Much like another innovator. Paul Reed Smith.
That ending!
Awesome review - where you do absolutely shred is the cinematography and production and flow of the intro 👍🤩 epic movie 🎥
Camera shred!
Your videos are so awesome and so are Strandbergs!
Thanks!
I’m a similar kind of guitar player. Just bought one of these Salens last month. Was fairly nervous about wether I would get on with it or not. You nailed it with your review! Why don’t my other guitars feel or play like this?!! I’m probably going to end up selling my Gibsons and Fenders at this point. Never thought that would ever happen!
They are ridiculously comfortable to play.
Awesome video!!! Ive got one exactly the same like in video. And it’s a beautiful guitar. Pickups are great. Sound is incredible. The neck is very convenient, took me minutes to get used to it’s new shape. I’d recommend all at least to try this guitar 🤙🏻
Agreed!
Very creative video, had a good laugh and enjoyed the honest opinion. Subscribing.
Thanks!
I love and appreciate the effort it took the make this video, man. Goddamn
Thanks! Yeah, this one took a while.
Awesome video
I've become addicted to these guitars. I have a Fusion 6 and a Salen Deluxe showing up at some point. I'll make a bold statement right here. Ola Strandberg is the 21st century Leo Fender. I love Fender guitars and I have quite a few but if you compare the early days of both companies there's a lot of parallels. Notably that both of their designs looked very foreign and modern in their respective times.
I'm not going to lie, I've missed that guitar a lot ever since I had to send it back.
Awesome video dude! I thought the Sälen has no armcarve?
Honestly, I don't even remember 😂
Haha great video. And I totally agree, I've never understood the whole "I wouldn't pay that for an Indonesian guitar" I have 2 and they are both way better than the Suhr Modern that I had, I don't care which Country they are made in, or the nationally of the good people that build them.
I bought a Standard 6 3-4 months ago. The pickups were a bit too "modern" for me, but after replacing them with Tom Anderson HF1 and HF2, it's my screaming machine. The guitar is the most comfortable to play of any guitar I've ever played. I have a G&L ASAT Classic S (alnico pickups) so my Tele cravings are satisfied. The Classic 6 is calling my name...
The 5 watt world video has got me intrigued in the world of headless too, not sure about the malformed Tele design myself but I enjoy the concept of headless. Suppose it's a waiting game for a design to tickle me
I personally love the design, but it's definitely not for everyone. I just can't get over how comfortable it is to play.
@@guitarmovies the whole neck carve thing is super intriguing to me, especially BC I have a slight deformity in my left thumb so I've always been convinced that I hold guitars 'wrong' wonder if I'd love or hate that carve 🤔
@@jason.h It's hard to know without actually trying one, and I was fully prepared to hate it, but it just works. When I am doing more single-note stuff up and down the neck, the spine acts a guide so your hand is in a comfortable position. And when I grab the whole neck like a chord caveman it still feels good. The only complaint I would make is that the fretboard edge has a defined edge to it so it's not the typical smooth, rolled over experience. But that's just a minor trade off based on the design.
bro i dont know what to say but your videos are beyond beyond amazingggggggggggggggggggggggggg
Thanks!
Best review video EVER!
Thanks!
I love it! For an older guy with arthritis, the light weight would be perfect! Btw...loved the ending!🤣👍😎🎸🎶
Between bike racing and jiu-jitsu, I've broken my hands/wrists a few times so I have some issues. The Strandberg's design and weight definitely make it easier to play for longer.
@@guitarmovies it sounds like you've went through some of the same things as me. No martial arts for me, but dirt bike riding and a street bike accident can take a toll on your joints. The light weight would definitely help. Thanks for doing the review!👍😎🎸🎶
Great video. Really cool guitar. Indonesia is making some really great guitars right now. I have a Indonesian Ibanez az that may be the best guitar I've played so far and I've played and owned quite a few.
I'd put the build quality of this guitar against any of my American instruments.
something I have never heard anybody mention when it comes to headless designs, no more f***** string trees
Dude that was hilarious. 🤣🤣 Great job👍🏼
Thanks! 😁
Great!
Love the idea of a stranberg tele but the fact you can’t do a behind the nut bend makes it difficult for me to get behind whole heartedly.
I’m boring and just use the neck so it’s not an issue for me.
@@guitarmovies haha fair enough sir!
Hey Mike, I loved the video and I actually really liked the different tones you got out of the guitar. As far as appearance and not having a headstock...... not a fan. I have become a big fan of Five Watt World the past few months, there is so much guitar stuff out there . Take care.
Thank you!
I think the windows/mac analogy isn't exactly great. Sure, macs just work, but they are also completely restrictive. Steve Jobs signed off on that old school circular iMac mouse that hurt your hands like hell. Windows can be a hot mess, but you can customize a lot, but this guitar is no hot mess. This guitar is a lot closer to whoever made the Kinesis Ergonomic keyboard. Looks kind of dumb, but it is meant for your body to interface with it perfectly.
Am I reading too far into your off the cuff analogy... yes. Anyway, These guitars seem fantastic.
PCs are garbage. Strandbergs are amazing.
@@guitarmovies PC's are fine, Macs are fine. Strandbergs seems pretty sweet to me.
There are different pots log and linear with different tapers.
Why drink the water from my hand… I love, love, loved the nod to Collective Soul 😀
I would love to have a seven string version of this tele.......
I've been thinking about trying a 7-string guitar (maybe a Schecter?)
Can't agree with your assertion that Apple products are better, I do agree that Strandberg guitars are better on every level, for me they represent the next evolution of the guitar. Leo indeed got it right, Ola built upon the great ideas and pushed the design into the future.
This fuckin slaps man!
Thanks!
The current Indonesians, will be the future Korean vintage of the 90s, but better
the neck pickup not on the 24th position. other than that perfect. I would prefer true temperament though. fanned, not so much.
Very well done sir.
You got probed? Does that mean you huh like scored huh ... huh huh
(just a little joke there, somehow this reminded me of Beavis and Butthead :))
Probed and a guitar! Win win
@@guitarmovies sooo where's the forest located? Just curious :)
I want it.
Me too
Ok, ok! I want one!!!
I REALLY wish this one was mine to keep!
Currently browsing Reverb to check these out. I can’t think of one store in Nashville that carries them. I must find out. I hear ya. I’d have a hard time sending that back.
@@bwall615 Sweetwater had a demo model of the Deluxe version, but it got scooped up really fast.
Guitar Movies That figures. They have a cool “Strat” style too. Oh man, another gear rabbit hole.
It would be the best guitar choice of your life. You'll legit stop playing your other guitars because of it.
Great review, but if Apple built that you wouldn't be able to uprgade a thing and have to pay them for string changes.
Tried one.
I hated the suhr pickup on those.
The neck tho will may take me more time to be comfortable with
I like my Twisted Tele pickups better, but I liked the Suhr pickups after a bit. They took me more work to get a sound I enjoyed, though.
It's a perfect telecaster EXCEPT can't do behind the nut bends.... which a lot of country guitarists like to do.
My favorite part is how he moves his lips when he reads.
Once you go Strandberg you honestly don't go back. I am going to sell all of my other guitars.
Oki Oki They are fantastic and underrated guitars.
You renamed the channel? Fair enough, but I thought there was a new dude totally ripping off your style there...
Why on earth wouldn’t you make sure that thing was in tune before doing a review? I really do not understand.
It’s a real mystery
The perfect telecaster would have 22 frets.
I need 15, max.
First!
You cheated.
i dont like it mike.
You aren't required to.
its just weird, headless tele ; how do you restring one of those?
Detune. Open hex screws at the 'head'. Pull strings through the bridge/tuners.
Grab a fresh set of strings and reverse procedure. No double balled strings needed. Only one allen key needed, but it's faster with a second one. Both are provided.
Now if you want to do more then just change strings, things get fiddly. Not complicated, just fiddly.
sounds like more of a process then a usual restring
It’s like a floyd without the floating trem. Instead of regular tuners you get extremely fine tuners. And you don’t have to worry about leaving extra string. It’s like having locking tuners without a floyd and fine tuners of a floyd
A.
B.
Mac and apple in general is the only overpriced pile of garbage btw.......
