In 2002, Aaron was just 14, the same age as my daughter who was battling cancer. Our family was flown from Oregon to his performance in Boston. He was so kind. She got to go backstage and he could not have been nicer. He made her “Make a Wish” dream come true. She has Down Syndrome and didn’t understand the details of her treatment, but she listened to his albums on our 6 hour commutes to Portland and even had his music playing when she received cranial radiation. Aaron, our family will never forget your graciousness and I will pray for your soul. Our daughter has remained Cancer free and still talks about Aaron and the concert .

I bought a CD of Aaron's debut album when I was a middle school student in South Korea and listened to it all the time. You were definitely part of my teenagehood, and my heart truly breaks for you and your family. May you find the inner peace that you desperately needed up in the heaven.

I am really heartbroken over Aaron. I was following him for awhile when he was doing some Livestreams then he stopped. When he got that huge face tattoo I really felt that was a red flag that he was suffering from Mental illness. He had been struggling for so many years and he really tried hard to be sober. Aaron was such a handsome and charming guy. So sad.
Last i saw was on steve o show. He looked like he was doing great.

This is so tragic on many levels. Firstly of course it’s a tragedy for Aaron that he ended this way. Secondly it also shows the downfall of America, how far society has fallen since the 90s when these kids started out as normal kids, but then straight down into drugs, mental health issues etc etc. As a 90s kid my heart is just broken on so many levels today. Same here I mainly knew Aaron Carter as Nick Carter’s little brother. I knew of him but wasn’t a fan of his music. I can only sympathize with what he was going through and what his family has to endure now.

My heart goes out to his whole family. Most people don't know that he had a younger sister that died of an OD when she was just 25. Five years later the family loss their father. Now tragedy has hit again with the passing of Aaron Carter. I can't imagine what his family must be going through. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

Oh my goodness. I know how this young man struggled. He was in a dangerous grimy industry. You cannot leave your kids in the hands of those monsters in the industry. I saw him on I think Dr. Phil. He was extremely hyper. Something was haunting that young man. I'm so sad to hear this. That family had a lot of trauma.
Some of my best memories were chasing him at concerts and accidentally coming upon his limo at our hotel AFTER seeing him that night. He jumped out and talked to all of my kids! It was surreal. RIP Aaron❤
I never ever got the chance to meet him or go to any of his concerts as I live in the uk been a fan from the 90s this has hit me very hard and still struggling to come to terms with it

I kept up with AC cause he was basically a local celebrity in my neighborhood. People in town would tell me he was a disturbance around town. Regardless of that, I grew up hearing his music and would tune into his Instagram Lives to see what he was up to. It was pretty clear everyone liked to gawk at his family issues, drama, anger etc. but overall I got the impression he was always a nice guy underneath. It’s disappointing he couldn’t get himself together in time. I hope he’s at peace wherever he is. RIP AC 🙏

It HAS NOT been determined how Aaron died. You sound like you're thinking he killed himself? Because they have not determined his death. The CORONER will do that. He may have been MURDERED you've got to think outside the box, things happen, he had millions and millions of dollars. Somebody could very well be after that money.

Everyone experiences pain differently and there's no way to measure the depth of another person's pain. Sadly, in that fast-lane world, it's considered worse to see a shrink than to hit up a dealer. Substance abuse eases pain albeit only momentarily. Kids feel invincible, thinking they can dabble without getting addicted, until they're addicted. Especially where adults they admire are using. But once that genie is out of the bottle, most people die. For a vulnerable person (i.e. age, biology, trauma, family, environment,) who has unlimited access to substances without an appreciation of the cost, has a small chance of overcoming their torments. It's a miracle this young man made it this far. 💔🙏😔

There is nothing fun or easy about being famous…. It’s a pressure some adults can’t even handle, let alone a child… and often the parents of young children that become famous, can’t handle the pressure either, and in turn…. They make very poor business decisions (and Also money decisions) for their child.
Being famous can be a literal jail sentence…. You can’t go out in public without people following you or screaming at you or trying to touch you, etc… many children whom become famous end up not being able to leave their homes at times even.

me too. I empathized with his childhood fame and his loss of his money. I felt sad that he has been an addict since he was 12. He was carrying the burden of his father passing away, his sister, and trying to be the man of the house for his mother. Meanwhile he is really a 12 year old himself trying to be a man in the world. Home huffing, popping pills, and who knows what else. Abusing his animals, his girlfriend and putting his son at risk. I am happy his son was taken away. The only regret I have for Aaron is someone didn't get guardianship over him. I would have fought tooth and nail to get that man help if I were a parent, sibling, or friend. If I had to kidnap him and move him to the middle of nowhere that's what lengths I feel his family should have gone to. Instead, everyone around him used his fame and money for themselves. Or they completely shunned him from the world, he was just used. All he has learned in his life is how to use people because that is exactly what they did to him.
All those who bullied him relentlessly on twitter and instagram and all the other platforms, you drove him bonkers,you added to his mental health and drug addictions.
He definitely shared too much personal life, but to those who told him to kill him self, you all are monsters! He was a real human being who had a hard past, you had no compassion and made a spectacle of him.
I hope you learn and grow to become better people. May the Lord forgive you and I pray aaron made his peace as well with his saviour. When I met him in person he was so kind and felt deeply. He made bad choices. This is where it ended up. I lost a brother inlaw to heroine and mental health stabilizers mixed, he subsequently OD. There is no greater devastation than to lose your family member young!!!!

The guy looked dead in 3 of those pics, barely had his eyes open ffs so obviously this has been an issue for years, the family can't be that surprised, even so it's still tragic. I’m a 27 year-old young man with Cerebral Palsy. I don’t like hearing stories like this because nobody knows how much time we have on Earth and I have career aspirations as an entertainment journalist and actor to achieve. I want to book work for Pepsi commercials and family movies like Toy Story and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
However, my grandma always said that young celebrities have difficulty dealing with the setbacks of fame because they achieved so much success when they were younger. I understand why I’m still waiting to achieve my dreams as I currently finish up my Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Video Arts Production from Bridgewater State University.

I still cannot believe what I'm hearing and seeing. Aaron was a big part of my childhood and I even got to meet him. Looking back on that meet and greet through my adult eyes. I can see that he was their puppet. He was barely able to even look up and say anything to us, he was looking down doing signatures. And if we stood there longer than what the signature took, you'd be yelled at to move by his security. I was really hoping his demons left , but attach hard to kind sensitive people. In the last few weeks of his life he was taking pills, huffing duster, and drinking lean - ON CAM! lets not pretend he was a angel because he passed away. @@felisasepulveda8753 I think many people have tried. His behavior was almost always erratic as of the last few years. He spent A LOT of time on IG Live at all hours of the night. I recorded a few of them because he clearly was not okay but he wouldn’t listen and would fly off the handle.
He definitely was addicted to huffing and we tried telling him to get help in the kindest, caring way but he would just get angry and end the live.

I will forever be able to recite all of a Aaron's "Aaron's Party" songs... He was my 1st album/real CD that I receive on my 8th birthday aha. I remember it like yesterday. The whole playlist will forever give me good vibes and continues to surprise me how easily my mood is lifted, even by the silliest of songs ("Can I get a cheeseburger with no cheese" aha). They didn't just help me in 3rd grade... his beginning music has been played quite frequently actually throughout the last 2 decades... helping me stay positive, be nostalgic, & surprisingly get through my own battles. Throughout any downfalls of his shown on the media, I think we were all really rooting for him to one day get clarity and be in the right mental health state he deserves. I was devastated when told he'd passed. Literally still kinda in disbelief. My 1st celebrity crush & 1st music craze... Another life gone too soon. RIP Aaron. Hope you're in a heaven living it up. It'll always be "Aaron's Party" at least somewhere.

Why not? Where there's life, there's hope. However, hopelessness makes life unlivable. Why couldn't it have gotten better? Life can only get better if you see that as a possibility. Depression skews your ability to believe it will, no matter how hard you try and the torture experienced to simply exists is unbearable, so you see no light at the end of the tunnel to strive for. It isn't a pessimistic viewpoint or choice to perceive the world that way. It's a feeling of being trapped in a downward trajectory, without hope. It's crushing and for this young man, the pain was more than he could bear.

I adored him when I was a kid. I remember begging my Nana to buy me the Kool aid jammers when they were running a contest to meet Aaron and being so sad that the last one she let me get was not a winner. A few years later I was at the Mall of America with my dad, and there was a bunch of people lined up towards a stage in the rotunda. I have a vision impairment that had started to effect me around this time so as someone walked onto the stage, all the girls started screaming and my dad was like "Isn't that Aaron Carter?" And I was like "WHAT?" I got in that line with only a little piece of paper for him to sign and when I got up on the stage and I was in front of him, I couldn't find my voice, I don't even think I managed to even say hello to him. That was my first and only time meeting a celebrity and I was so star struck.This hurts my heart. Rest in peace Aaron. You'll be missed

I saw this coming and yet I was still shocked to the moon to see this headline. What a tragedy. I'm glad he's not suffering anymore. Unfortunately all that suffering does end up getting passed to family, friends, and fans. Devastated.
