My brother James was getting married, and I was excited for the celebration-until I found out that his fiancée, Emily, had deliberately excluded my wife, Lisa, from the wedding. Emily and Lisa had never been close, but banning her outright felt personal and unjust. When I confronted James, he insisted it was Emily’s decision and that I should respect it. But I couldn’t. Lisa is my wife and my family, and I refused to attend without her.
On the day of the wedding, Lisa and I arrived together, defying Emily’s demand. The reaction was immediate-whispers, tension, and finally, a public outburst from Emily. She refused to proceed with the ceremony while Lisa was there, causing a scene in front of everyone. James, finally fed up, told her to stop, making it clear Lisa wasn’t going anywhere. Realizing she was losing control, Emily reluctantly continued with the ceremony, but the damage had been done. The day that was supposed to be perfect for her became a reflection of her own insecurities.
The next morning, Emily called Lisa, unleashing a furious rant about how Lisa had "stolen her spotlight" just by being there. When Lisa refused to apologize for simply existing, Emily demanded to speak to me, accusing me of ruining her wedding. I shut that down quickly, making it clear that Lisa had every right to be there.
Then, James called me with an unexpected confession-his new marriage was already falling apart. Emily had been ranting about Lisa non-stop since the wedding, even calling family members for validation, only to be laughed at. Things got so ridiculous that Emily, in a fit of delusion, claimed she wanted to sue Lisa for "stealing attention" at her wedding. Even James couldn’t believe it. He admitted, three days into marriage, that he might have made a huge mistake.
Now, the once joyful wedding has left my brother trapped in a reality he wasn’t prepared for-one where his new wife’s jealousy and need for control might cost him more than just one ruined day.

If brother's fiancée gets her way at the wedding to exclude op's wife she will continue to do so at other events expecting Op's family to bend to her wishes every time.
Point 2
Having op staying away with wife puts a clear picture the family he made will be respected to the brother's fiancée that she can have her wedding but once in the family where op goes his wife will go as well. If she starts trying to exclude op as well in the family gatherings then she is the problem not op's wife. Then the family needs to put her in her place otherwise they will end up ripping the family dimatics not op and his wife.

OP in a tough spot. I would resent my new sister-in-law a little after the wedding, I would’ve explain to my brother what if I was getting married and my wife did exactly what your wife wants to do to my wife how would you feel?
Emily wanted to sue Lisa because she has a natural charm people like😵 I’m glad everyone laughed at her because that’s ridiculous. Even her husband finds it ridiculous.

OP handled this poorly! It was his brother right to have who they wanted at his wedding! Op needed to man-up and moment his wife was excluded realize the damage to family relations were beyond repair! He should have supported his wife, declined the invitation, and gone NC!
