Just seeing him on the screen makes me so happy, and listening to his soothing voice, it's such a wonderful experience that I don't ever want it to stop. I could watch and listen to him and I would never ever get tired of it. He's an imperfectly perfect man.

Nobody shows Jake’s soft centre - when he & Tess go to the rescue of Sasha...so, is he a a Lothario (look it up, ladies), a first-class c - - t, or a genuinely damaged person on the end of Simone’s apron strings?

I think he's a badly damaged man who keeps people at arm's length because he doesn't want to be hurt. Think about it! His mother, by choosing to kill herself, chose to abandon him when he was just 8-years-old. He's clearly afraid of being abandoned by Simone as well. I feel for the guy.
Would someone mind explaining what the relationship between Jake and Simone is like are they in a relationship or what I am just genuinely confused abt it

Long story short, when he was 8, jake’s mom committed suicide. He moved in with Simone who lived next door. They have a strange relationship because he clung to her because he had no other family. She was much older (15 when he moved in) and also seduced him when they were older so they’re close in a weird way. --hopefully that helps?

Confession: I skip the scene where Tess rambles about inviting John Lennon to her birthday party. I'm sorry. Jake is my favorite character, but I just can't make it through that cringe-worthy scene. No! Just ... no!
I don't know if Jake is meant to show interest in Tess during her embarrassing rambling. But to me, his expression screams "Who the f*ck is this chick and why won't she shut the f*ck up?" I love Becky's expression, too. That look, right there? That's the look I had on my face the first and only time I watched that scene.

Yes. Unfortunately. I say "unfortunately," because she's desperate and pathetic, and because of all of the crap she pulls in season 2. I actually hate her because of the last few episodes of the series. He deserves SO MUCH BETTER. So does Will.
Does who end up with who? Think ‘Dangerous Liaisons’…they’re even worse in the novel…total fuckup 😱
