@@drewsimms hey so I'm young and I want to do exactly what you are doing traveling have nice gear and also that JEEP it looks so nice how did you get the money to afford this gear
Drew, how the hell don't you have more views and subs?! From one creator to another, just blows my mind how theres other people on RUclips who get millions of views for just stupid stuff, and you create National Geographic quality content in literally every single video!
Agree with all you said. It’s a privilege for me to watch Drew’s video for free on RUclips. I don’t have any words to describe. Amazing work . Thanks @Drew
I first hiked into The Enchantment Lakes Basin in 1979 solo after 10 years of backpacking. After 50+ years of hiking, it was one of the best backpacking trips I’ve ever experienced!! It was the first week of October and the larches were golden. I could tell you were a real photographer after a few photos. Kindred spirits.
This literally moved me to tears. Going on 1.5 years of a pandemic, working in the ICU, managing 3 young kids, I think I've just adjusted to seeing life in grey just for survival's sake. More days than not a mundane slog. This video reminded me that my soul's been desperately needing beauty. Makes me want to pack up the wife and kids and go somewhere beautiful. Thanks for this Drew.
I’ve watched this 20 times. The style is similar to Kraig Adams travel videos. It is one of the most beautiful videos on RUclips. I wish that it gets +10 million views in a year.
You are living the life bro. I am watching you while still in college man, I feel like this is the path I'll take immediately after grad. This is the best life ever
Watching your videos on a Sunday night is a blessing as I’m trying to calm myself and get ready for another work week. Keep moving and sharing your experience. Let us be on the road through your lens.
I had several moments throughout the video where I thought “wow, this is my favorite part!” ... and then the next scene hit which I thought the exact same thing. Truly sad it ended after just 14 minutes. You’ve got some talent babe ♥️
I have got to say, this video is simply brilliant. Everything from the beautiful scenery to your choice of music that accompanied it was wonderfully crafted together, in what is, a truely epic video. Your right, sometimes you dont need words, just let the scenery and music say it all for you . Thankyou so much for this video , my wife and I simply loved it
Congratulations on a beautiful work. You definitely have the artist eye. My wife and I were lucky back 30 years ago to get a permit for the Enchantments, but without the golden larch. We were very impressed with the beauty of the area and your video reminds us of that beauty. You really hit the jackpot with getting the permit, the larch in all their glory and blue skies. The shots toward the end with the sun coming up with Prusik Peak and the larch below was simply spine tingly. You should be able to sell this work. It is too good for RUclips.
I really enjoy the mix of light vlog as well as your insane cinematography. I think it gives this wonderful dynamic where we can both enjoy the silence and beauty of nature, as welll as have these brief interviews with you that leave us wanting to know more about who you are. It’s the perfect balance. Thank you for creating inspiring works of art!! I wish you the best on your journey Drew:)
This is an exceptional video production. I discovered your channel because I'm a Jeep enthusiast. What a surprise to learn you are actually a very talented photographer and film maker. The ability to capture and edit images that move the soul is a gift. This is the fist channel I have ever activated the "notification" button on. Appreciate your effort, be safe.
That was so beautiful that there were moments when, literally, I had to remember to breathe. And so much more compelling without wall to wall commentary, like so many other vloggers seem to be unable to resist. Drew, this was gorgeous. Thanks.
After flying over that area , I always wondered how beautiful it would be in person. Thanks for taking us. What spectacular beauty our creator has blessed us with!!! And you are quite a talented man
Epic content, down right binge worthy, very well made with all the angles incorporated and perfect soothing sound tracks. The landscapes are absolutely breathtaking here. Have you ever encountered dangerous animals, like bears of cougars?
Watching this video made me feel so overwhelmed with happiness that I cried a little. The beauty of nature is breathtaking. I want to go here, and I am going to make a plan for it. Thank your style of recording, a view is worth a thousand words and emotions than any words could so keep up this style.
Such a beautiful area with all of the beautiful fall colors, magnificent mountain peaks and curious mountain goats! Definitely want to get out there and explore this area after seeing your adventures on this trail!

I went to school at Oregon. I grew up in CA and just fell in love with the Pac Northwest because of this type of scenery. This video literally gave me a level of peace I haven't felt since I was up there for school, hiking around the Cascades. Its a truly incredible place. Additionally, I have discovered Randall Carlson and his works on cataclysm events evidenced in the Pac Northwest, which adds a whole other level to the scenery there

Hello from UK.
That hike is no joke. It tests you both mentally and physically. I got a four day pass and it is absolutely mind blowing beautiful but it can bring some pain to you too. You start off ascending and ascending then climbing over boulders and then more boulders. That's when you arrive at the beginning and you stare up at Asgard Pass. That's when you know you are in deep. A straight up 3000 foot elevation climb in just under a mile by anyway you can. Going over boulders, rocks, climbing, and clawing your way every single foot of it. Then you've made it. It's an amazing feeling to reach the top and look down upon where you've been.
It doesn't get easier. Some truly dangerous crap is headed your way. Sliding down rocks, inching your way along a five inch ledge with a massive drop if you falter, a leap of faith to safety. It's not for the faint of heart.
The trails are not maintained. Sometimes you have to go and search and pray you don't go the wrong way. A mistake is punished severely and rapidly. On the first day, we watched seven people airlifted out of the Enchantments, the second day we watched a woman get airlifted off of Asgard as we were cresting the halfway point. The Rangers closed the pass after that leaving dozens of people stranded and having to head back down. We were the lucky ones.
It isn't a difficult hike. It's a brutal one. It will tax you in every single possible way.
Was it worth it? Hell yeah, it was.
