We used to get these but we don’t anymore due to financial issues but I was making these meals at 15 years old. I am now 16 and I had no problems making these meals. I sometimes didn’t read the directions but other than that I had no issues whatsoever with these meals. And they were tasty!

It's so true that kids will be more open minded if you introduce new foods to them early and regularly. My stepdaughters weren't made to try new foods when they were younger so it was difficult getting them to eat things other than noodles or rice. lol They are much more open minded now that they are older, but we still have a 16 year old that will cry if we insist that she eat what is put in front of her *eyeroll* lol The meals look amazing and I'm sure the kids would love it...heading to their website now! :-)

What a great review! I loved that you showed us the meal prep didn't use every pot and pan in the house, and read some of the recycling info on their packaging. :) I am still leery about accumulating ice packs, but if they only use two per box and I get a box once a month, I will have time to figure out what to do with them.

I use soap to wash my produce that can be scrubbed all the time! 😆 for lettuce I soak it in water with a few drops of bleach! But i guess this is just a reflection of growing up in Mexico, where we really should wash everything really well.

I found the meals to be hit and miss. Sometimes the meals were AMAZING! Other times they were really, really bland.
So how does pricing work? is it roughly 60$ per week?

I love the way you do the Hello fresh videos for me I like the explanation intro and then the real world/life and family when you make the food it's not a step by step it's what we all really want to know is it good and yummy! I had another company it was expensive first of all and the food came rotten or it was no good if I waited three days I once even got meat that was a month out of date! I let them know and all I got was a sorry that happened we will inform the packaging people. I ended up having to pay more money to make the foods or I ended up throwing them away. Also some of them just weren't appealing at all.

If your kids don't like vegetables...you shouldn't force them to eat something. Make them interested in eating their vegetables and why it's healthy to do so. Reward them when they eat their veggies (but start small and not like a big chocolate bar or anything that will bore them over time). It's not a bad habit to let them know why it's better to enjoy veggies now than later considering the obesity rates. Anyways, I appreciate and enjoy your videos :) I look forward to watching more interesting videos.

Hello. Enjoy watching your videos!!!! Wanted to share how my parents would handle getting children to try new foods. If you tried two bites of something and didn't like it, didn't have to eat it. As an adult, I am willing to taste food that I never had before.

I loved Hello Fresh but after being on it for a year or so, the recipes started to repeat which was annoying. Also I feel like the veggie recipes weren't as exciting as the regular meals

I was lucky enough to get a free box because my coworker subscribed. She has 3 she could give out and I got the one with the chicken parm salad. Me and my 9 year old loved it. Which shocked me because she's not a big salad eater but she loved it. If it wasn't so expensive I probably would have continued the service.

I was cooking with and for my parents when I was like 10 haha and really I think those meals are supposed to be so easy that any competent person can cook them like if you can work a stove and read you can do it that's what I've seen with them

Do you have any say in what they send you? Like if you have any allergies? Or if they sent something you didn't like they won't send it again?
Allyson Wonderland - you select which meals you want from 6 or 7 choices. The week defaults to their picks but you can go in and edit those picks. I usually go in to my account about once a month and edit several weeks at a time. It also tells you the "edit by" date for that week - I think it is seven days or so before it shops. Not positive about the lead time because I always edit way out. One of the things I love about it is that I like to pick things I would never cook on my own and have variety. I always pick one beef and one fish meal because I normally cook a lot of chicken. LOL

i watched this vid and placed an order. which i canceled within a couple of hours of initially placing the order. i still got charged and a box still got delivered. the website said to cancel current and future box completely hit the cancel button. i did that and like i said, and did it in the time frame it stated. i still got charged still sent a box and refused to refund the money! you better be thankful they know who your are and know you make videos or you would be getting shit service like the rest of us....

Do you get to pick the recipes they send you or do they just pick them based on your plan?
mrsbethany1206 - depending on which plan you are on, there are always choices. I am on the Classic plan and I have 6 or 7 to choose from each week. There are 3 picked for me each week, but I can go to my account and edit the picks - I think the week before it ships. Honestly, I usually go in about once a month and edit three or four weeks at a time.

Hello Fresh is very expensive, as are most of the sub food services. Ive looked into alot of them and all are out of our budget. $8.74- 9.99 per serving is pricey compared to going and buying the ingredients.
