When Halliburton, Reeves et. al. go against tired starters or reserves it's history for most of these teams. If Vucevic played like this for the Bulls, fans would be in a state of shock. Who is this guy?
Hal and Reaves have both played top 5 amount of time for EVERY GAME (not just this game!). This is Not like a regular NBA team starters and subs where starters play 30-40 minutes and subs get 10-20 minutes. Your logic is correct for that scenario when subs come in to spell starters “rest”. However, it IS NOT that case in this situation because Hal and AR play the same or EVEN MORE than most starters. They don’t come in to spell starters rest; if anything, they come in to Restore order for Team USA. The way how these players on Team USA get minutes depend on how they play on that day, not so much being a starter or sub. So, they are playing against starters of other team as much as the starters do. Actually, they play during the toughest challenge as the game closers

Vooch is a 2x time all star. It's about usage and what they ask him to do with the Bulls. The Bulls use him for spacing and rebounding. Spacing is not his game.

That’s because Jackson is not really that elite , AD dominated him on Defense in the playoff series . I mean it wasn’t even close to who was the better defensive player in that series .
I hear you. Kerr is friends with (former) Villanova coach Jay Wright and is using Wright's "5 Out" offense that doesn't need power and height for offense. But he's also using Villanova's constant switching defense, which gives opponents an advantage inside.

I agree..and I'm a Villanova fan (and like Hart and Bridges also!) I think it's clear the USA transition and up-tempo game is hard to stop. Brunson is a good controller with crafty moves...but they primarily need to run.

When the USA plays good defense theur running game fall in place. They can acore 20 pts in couple of minutes and thrn they’re gone for the game
Too much 1v1 iso on offense. Too much leaving their feet on close outs. Weak side help defender is often hesitant to close out on drives allowing easy inside buckets. Poor rebounding and sloppy box outs. A lot to clean up if USA is going to win the tourney.
Team Usa will take the gold anyway,there are a few teams that can stand for quarters with US and usually at the fourth with clutch plays they take the result, at least until now, that's what is important.
