Even most ND fans forget that he missed all of spring ball before this season due to injury. He had to shake off the rust and learn a new offense… still played a huge part of getting ND to a natty. The kid has a big desire to compete & win. If he keeps developing he could be a great weapon

Riley’s passing is better than people think. He has a potential to be a steal in the draft if he develops.

If he gets with the right team he could go far. And I hope so best of luck to him. Go Irish

He hit several deep routes in the cfp against top 10 teams with top 10 defenses. Put up similar #'s to Howard in final. The dc just blew it being side tracked with a new job. He played good enough to win. If defense got any stops we could have run the TB's. They got like 7 carries total due to giving up a td every drive

@ exactly. A lot of Riley’s best performances were against the best defenses they played against. And I agree had Holden been focused on winning the Ship and not a new job they would’ve won. Like you said they get one stop in the first half and it’s a different game.

RL issue is processing plays quickly. He's delayed on reads, and he's not comfortable constantly in the pocket. The NFL game is faster than college. RL reminds me of Tim Tebow. I'm not sure RL he will survive in the NFL.

What are you talking about. He has preformed beautifully. He did what the coaches asked him to do, Running more than throwing etc. He led Notre Dame to the championship game. Have you forgotten the plays he pushed through the wall of the defense to score numerous touchdowns, the time he dove over the tackle, he was unstoppable. They came in second which hasn’t happened in years. He’s the one that galvanized the team and gave it his all. He’ll be a first or second round pick, you’ll see.

Because of off season surgery he started slow, but no one mentions they had. 3 receivers kicked off the team and besides Faison ,who was out a lot, his targets were not elite in any form. If you watched this kid at Duke, he was throwing it all over the field before he broke his foot. He is big strong kid with a winning mentality, I’d take him.

It's great footage! I feel like the ball looks like it comes out weird on some of these. I'm not sure if he's trying to show different arm angles, but I'm a bit worried about the lack of zip and tight spiral on these less structured throws. Ik he isn't exactly a highly projected player, but I was hoping to see something I didn't expect.

when I was putting this together, doing all of the throws, I thought "man, this reminds me of Bo Nix last year at the Senior Bowl. Nothing flashy, just do a job." We've seen the dude rip it. We know he has the fastball.

Dudes gonna need a passing coach for sure. But you can’t teach toughness. You can’t teach heart. That’s what this kid’s got.

He seems to have rather low velocity. Need at least 55 mph. 57 or higher is best
