Your physical & mental wellbeing is so important. So many retirees get sucked into the bar culture & the booze can become a habit. Even though we're all getting on a bit, stay fit, walk everywhere & consider joining a gym. Engage with your surroundings & keep your mind active. You seem to be doing it the right way Wyn. 👍
Ratanakorn Market is by far my favourite fresh food market, it’s enormous and the one I go too at least twice a week for my fruit, vegetables fish and meat, so much choice and prices are the cheapest in Pattaya imo! As regards the weather I think next year visiting Dalat in Vietnam in April, this year it got unbearable when the temperature hit over 40C. Spot on with your comments 👍
@@welshwyn hey I know you are always on the lookout for great value great tasting meals. If you’re in the area I recommend trying this place off Jomtien Beach road on Soi 4. It has to be some of the best Thai I’ve had and many dishes are - 70 baht It’s called Thai Food Good Taste …👍🏼😅😎awesome
If Rompho was closer to Bunkachana and Second, I'd probably go there for food almost daily. It's a little too far, like a Bolt or Grab trip. I went to the Bangkok Bank across the street, a couple X after I first found my condo. Weather is # 2 for me after cost of living, and right above safety. In D.C., I was largely stuck in the house four months out of the year. I'm a walker (cyclist too, although I'm still looking for a used one here)
Hey Wyn. I'm from Cynon Valley and I'm 47 and looking to start planning my retirement. What's the score if you need regular prescriptions?? Additionally for a holiday how long would you say stay in Pattaya? Cheers lol
@welshwyn that's fab mate. With the condo you live in are you stuck with the furniture there or can you add or change it?? Also, when is the cheapest time of year to fly out? I love the VLOG you are doing, especially the food side of it. I'd love to meet up for beer if I come holiday out there! Cheers...
@@adrianhawkins2618 Hi bud in the condo you can't get rid of anything or change say the colour of the walls because the room is owned by someone but you can certainly add items to it. Cheers 🙏
Another useful video Wyn 👍 Do you spend a lot of aircon or just not stay in much? I think the heat is a big problem for many of us so any tips on how to keep cool and keep the aircon bills down might make a good video
Yes the heat gets to you after a couple of years especially if your from a country where the climate is good like Australia and he's down playing the heat in March April May it's bloody unbearable just my opinion but Thailand great for an extended holiday November December January perfect
Do you think you’re taking a gamble with the cheapest health insurance for your visa Wyn or are you confident they would pay out if you needed to claim? I have been told by a Thai company they won’t insure me for medical insurance and I’m only 44. So I think that has derailed my retirement plans. I wouldn’t risk being in Thailand without having the best insurance. I don’t even have that many pre-existing conditions. Mainly poor mental health and high cholesterol. Mental health would be better living in Thailand lol if I had my pension
Yes I agree with all tge pros you mentioned wyn. Cons for me would be mosquitoes and lying girls . And lying fallangs who say they were in the s.a.s and latch on to you and try and tap you up for money 555
Wyn I have noticed in Thailand you buy mangos in the tourist market 50 and 70 baht and the local Thai markets 20 that market is great I would be use ing this market every day Rompo market is it near Jomtiem ? I have osteoarthritis and when I was in Thailand I didn’t get any pain hardly. I had a hernia operation here in uk waited 7 months the man in the next bed waited 18 months. I lost my passport and money 😮left it in a restaurant went back and it all was returned lovely video I drove from Bangkok to chaing Mia at first I was being polite and indicated 😂 but realised they don’t do that in Thailand can’t wait to come in October
