  • Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo is a woman with a mission - to bring modern art of new audiences. She has already built a gallery in her home city of Turin (designed by the minimalist architect Claudio Silvestrin) to house the many works she has collected over the past twenty years. Now she is opening another gallery - in Madrid. In this programme she allows us to see the paintings she has chosen to hang in her own home, and talks about the state of art collecting today.

We are so grateful and so blessed to be able to visit this amazing place last year. One just felt so connected in body & spirit in this space. It embodies the whole universe .I found myself floating in between the space. There is no boundaries ❤ Art is life it is truth.

Wonderful tour of the art of Ms. Rebaudengo. I will be in Madrid in June. Perhaps the new foundation will be open for tours.

Fascinating for a middle class person to see a collector at such an exclusive level. A very democratic person, it turns out. It was great to see the jewelry, for then you can more easily understand her discerning eye, which helps us (or just me) grasp her choice of the more difficult museum pieces. Thank you!

I've been into art for 40 years and some of the collection is OK, but some is bad taste.

Bidibidobidiboo. This video seriously frightened me, yet fantastically brought me joy knowing it is good when opposites don't attract. I, for one, will not be signaling at auction for this piece including the other furry friends and dangling men on display.

Can you please include the year of publication in the description? Especially with such modern art, it is helpful in understanding the documentary

36:18 What a Horror. Did he kill this innocent being and then have it taxidermied for his hideous exhibition? Violence is not art.

High Art $$$, Blue chip art, and Investment grade art is predominately not about Art any longer if it can be considered art at all, it's about elitism. Take the same piece of art, concept, material, and setting and remove all the frills, the artist's name notoriety, back story, and provenance, and it's not worth much anymore. Art rhetoric is the name of the game in the big-league art world.

Should Art darken the soul? What is the agenda? Contemplation of the divine which transcends time or simply twisted dark statements designed to split the mind to be open to abuse?

Some of her collections, like the neckless look OK to be, but most of the art seems ugly, or even a bit gross to me. I am open minded but I don't like modern art that's not creepy or gross.
