Thanks for sharing! I have the same tester and looking to restore it. I'm interested in your cap leakage test at the beginning. Could you spell that out in more detail? That's a handy check, and I am still learning. Looks like you have a DCV supply putting 60V to the cap leads, checking the voltage at the cap leads with a meter, but how exactly are you measuring the leakage with the bench-top DMM? Where are the leads of the other meter connected to check the leakage? Are they just connected to the foil end of the cap and ground? Thanks so much!

Yes for sure! The test is really simple, connect a power supply positive lead to the Cap, positive if it's polarized. Connect the other lead of the cap in series to a current meter that can measure microamps. Then connect the other lead of the meter back to the supply. Charge the cap up and let it stabilize and then read the current through the meter. The meter could be substituted with a shunt resistor and voltmeter if you don't have a sensitive enough current meter.
Ideally you want to be able to charge the capacitor to around 80% of rated voltage, but currently I'm limited to my 60Vdc supply.
IMSAI Guy has a really great video detailing it including the datasheet analysis of the capacitor to determine what is a reasonable leakage voltage.

Thanks for the Video....Just picked on up for $25 bucks because I wanted to be able to check 4 pin tubes.....but...I can't find any listing for lets say a CX 345 .... do you have any ideas as to where the setting would be found? Thanks, Mike

I only have the listings on the tables provided in the unit. You could do some googling to see if it's similar to anything listed. I know that some folks have put together even more extensive lists. I think Mr. Carlson's Lab might have some some resources in some of his videos about tube testers or on his website and patreon.
