- Hey my sweets!!! Many of you probably don’t know but I have a depop shop . I started selling clothes and accessories on depop last year in November since then I have made 46 sales which is huge for me !!! I have learned a lot and wanted to share some things with you. I got 3 orders over night and thought it would be really fun to show you how I package and ship them out .In this video I will walk you from the moment you make a sale till is time to ship It. I talk all where I get my packaging and how I assemble everything. I will also touch bases on how to create bundles and how to save money while doing it. I hope this video is helpful and you are able to learn something. Thank you so much for watching.

i have a question, when you said if the buyer wants free shipping to contact you, how do you pay for shipping. i dont know if i am making sense but what i mean is when you put the item for sale, and they ask for free shipping what do you have to do

Hey if you didn't know already, you can get free sticker labels from ups and usps. You can order them in a roll (they're usually glossy) and the single sheet ones are usually matte. Thanks for all your advice though! Just subscribed, you sound like such a sweet person🥺

I’m a beginner at shipping :) my question is does every package need to be weighed on a shipping scale or just heavy items ? Does the postal office weigh them for you before shipping them off ? I have only done this when returning books at the end of the semester and they weigh them for me. Thank you ! This was so helpful
Maria Jose Lopez Madrigal if you ship with depop you have to weigh all items because thats what determines the shipping price which you have to put when you list the item .☺️

something I haven't seen anyone so far talk about when it comes to shipping --- are you using a postal service Locker address as your return address as a seller or using your home address? I kind of find it unsettling to blast my home address out to buyers lol
Cass_Unfiltered lol yes for sure it could be unsettling to have your home address out there , it can be easier then having to go check a po box but if your concern for your safety i would get a po box

How do you handle like paying for shipping if they paid and you take it to the post office? How does that work? And how does the post office know that the shipping is paid for?

Hey you ship with depop they automatically take out the money soo lets say the item was $10 and the shipping was $4.50 once the person pays the $10 depop will take the shipping out of that if your paying for it so you will only get $5.50. When ship with depop they send you the shipping label which is already paid for so you just have to drop it off 😊 i hope this helped

Kayla if you are shipping with depop they should have emailed you the label or it should be in you receipts section on depop

Astrid Melendez yea you can get packages for free at the post office. All their boxes and envelopes are free (i believe you can only use the flat rate priority ones but im not sure ) . I just like to have my own packaging ❤️

What is the difference between depop mailing and post office mailing and what is a bundle? Love this video 💙
lovely.shadowz heyy so shipping with depop means the send u a label so you dont have to go to the post office to get one. And a bundle is when someone buys more then one thing. I have another video where I explain this a little more if you want to check it out

This is a great video for beginners ❤️. I do have a question, how do you link the money they payed for into your card? Is there something on depop for that?
Its all through PayPal so the money goes into your PayPal and from there youncan send it to your bank

Where can I print off the shipping label if someone pays through depop? When depop sent me an email, mine doesnt show a barcode and does not look like a label
Frances Saluta they should send a label to your email and you can also find it in the app

Depop hack: I recently discovered you can bump your listings up in searches by editing your listings and then pressing save. This basically reposts or refreshes your listings - 100% recommend to anyone struggling to get sales on depop. If you have lots of listings, I'd definitely recommend using something like RefreshAllButton so you don't need to spend hours refreshing everything everyday.

I just create my depop! This helped a lot. I still don’t understand the label purposes. Like they emailed it to me. If I don’t have a printer. It would work if I print it in the same UPS and put it there before shipping or how did that works. I have use labels before on my college to return books, but they haven’t let me print the label there. So it confuse me if they won’t for this too? Thank you so much ✨
Sandra Houghton so if you dont have a printer you will have to ship on your own. You can go to the post office to get the label. If you have a printer you can ship with depop which is pretty easy, they send you the label and you just tape it to the package

hi! can you use your own packaging for all of the weight options for shipping? for example, could i use my own poly mailers for the lightest option all the way to the largest too or the usps materials? ik they changed their shipping rules so i just want to make sure

After adding shipping labels to your packages, can you simply put them in your mailbox to be picked up if they are small enough? I might be overthinking by asking this question, but I just wanted to makes sure. Thanks!
I think they only pick up letter like that but you can always try it and if they dont take it you can go to the post office and drop it off it the blue bins or inside
In general, one package would have to be priority mail in order for them to pick it up....(I Do Ebay as well and that's how it works for larger packages). Anything smaller that DOES fit in the mailbox, I don't have to schedule a pick up. Hope that helps! :)

Hello! I’m starting a depop and wanted to know if it’s required to have a shipping label or if you could just write it? I also wanted to know if it’s required to have a scale or could I just estimate the shipping price?
You could estimate the shipping but if it ends up being more your package will get returned to you so i always recommend getting a scale

Vinted is better cause vinted doesnt take away money when someone buys your item (like fees) and you basically get all the money that the person paid.

They dont tell you how much it is but its always going to be 10% of every sale

When you ship an order does it change automatically the status of “ship order” or do you have to change it yourself? If you do how?

NA theres a receipt section on depop that shows all the items you have sold and their status
