That reminds me of two Things: the new Batman movie using different techniques to get the frame as dirty as possible. And a phase ten years ago when Tony Scott introduced a style of wild Rack zooms and Long exposure at dramatic scenes, which was picked uo by TV Shows and they zoomed often at random moments which was sickening, it wasnt like real DOPs doing it but some teenagers who have No clue about cinematography

Breaking the rules without knowing what they really are and why, usually doesn't result in more creativity, it just makes things chaotic and weird.
