I'm loving your videos! I found you from Janet at RTS. She has been using your work for inspiration lately and I've really enjoyed it. She mentioned you use stitching on your layouts and I was sold! That is something I've always liked from back when I first started scrapbooking over 25 years ago but thought no one does that anymore. Then Janet introduced me to you! I just love that you add that to most of your layouts! Definitely going to start incorporating in my layouts too. Thanks for all your inspiration!
Yay! I always love when I find someone else who loves stitching! I'm so addicted to it. I stitched on one of my first layouts and I was hooked. It's pretty rare to see a layout of mine that doesn't have stitching on it!
I loved everyone of your layouts so much so that after you finished each layout, I was trying to think of photos & papers I have where I could scrap lift your ideas.Afterall, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Imagine my surprise when you posted the challenge at the end. What a great idea to keep us busy during these crazy times. Thank you!
You are so welcome and I hope to see a layout from you in the challenge! I always put my ideas out there for anyone who wants to scraplift, to do so. I love sharing! :)
How fun! You are doing such a good job with thoughtfully walking through your process and reasoning. Very helpful and I appreciate this series so much. I have Scrapbooked w/o sketches for so long that I have difficulty following a sketch. But hearing your adaptations in detail along with the reasoning helps me see how I can use sketches, and already naturally make adaptations. I want to design more interesting backgrounds and embellishments; what I now start with is the arrangement of photos, then filling in open space.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you are enjoying the series! I do the same sometimes, start with an arrangement of photos and then fill in the open space. My favorite thing about using sketches is that I'm always amazed at how much use you can get out of one sketch and how easy it is to make small changes and get a completely different look. I love using them!
Thank you! I like using white or black paint, it really adds a quick frame to photo. It’s especially helpful if you don’t have room to add a mat but you feel like a photo really needs one.
There is another challenge going on with this sketch and video: ruclips.net/video/oG4AErV1AVg/видео.html The challenge for this one ends on May 25 so you've still got a few weeks to get something made for it. :)
I love your style and all the education you provided regarding altering the sketch to fit different needs. I especially enjoyed you showing how to do the sunburst background. I certainly will have to try that sometime. Your information is so helpful. Thanks.
Love the sketch, but was in awe at the layouts you created!! I am a long time scrapper, but sketches isn’t something I have much experience with, so I am just delighted to learn from you how to use sketches!! TFS your talents😁
Thanks Allison, superb layouts! I just purchased one of your e-sketch books this week and I started on a layout. Thanks to Janet from RTS and Nicole [ColieBing on You Tube), who give SG great publicity. Jeannine
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you are loving the series! I'm having a lot of fun putting these videos together so I love hearing that you are enjoying it!
Fabulous video. Loving the series. I'm a pretty strict sketch follower myself, and your video is so helpful for me to go beyond the sketch. Thank you, Alison.
Absolutely adore your style and layouts!!!! I’m so copying your first one, absolutely love it and thanks for the detail shots. The texture on your edges really upgrades your pages!!!
Thank you!! I think it does come with experience. It's one of those things that the more and more you play around with sketches, the easier it is to spot the areas you can adapt and customize to better fit your needs.
I somehow came across your videos. When I saw that you were showing how to use a sketch layout. Thank you so much for the details and examples. I so want to try the sunburst background. I’m excited. Your details on your layouts. How do you print pictures smaller than 4x4? I haven’t found anywhere I can get it done. New subscriber 😊
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the video and are enjoying them. Anytime I print smaller photos I will edit and crop them in Photoshop and then arrange them on a 4x6 print. So I can fit six 2x2" photos on one print or two 3 x 3" or 3 x 4" photos on one print.
you all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Bowie Francisco i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
