In the mid 80’s...I did about 60 roofs.
    Hard azzzz work!
Knowing what I do now.... I’d have NEVER worked that hard for soooo little.

My roof is being torn off as I'm watching your video. The roofers are removing two roofs just like the one in the video, also.
My 1 year dog is barking at the unfamiliar noise. She's adjusting to the noise.
It's nice to watch your video rather than trying to visualize what is being done.
Thanks for posting this video. It was very helpful.

What do you do when you run across a roof with ice & water shield between the shingles and the plywood. (With no felt/paper or synthetic underlayment beyween the I&W and the shingles. Those shingles will be grown to the I&W and the I&W will be grown to the plywood. I've got some shingles I need to remove and replace on our roof and there is no getting them up.

@@MrLegit We did that 15-18 years ago when this roof was put down(98 sheets) because the builder used 3/8 ply in 1967 when the house was built. I shudder to think how much more that's going to cost in this inflation age. Could we put a metal roof over top of this architectural shingle roof? Do you have to put stringers/purlens all over the roof? Thanks.

Nesting, if you but the top shingle to the bottom of the 3 tab. You can put down ubderlayment and just roof it normal, but it causes waves. Honestly, removal is the way to go.
