Good question, I honestly don’t know, but I suspect it is. This issue #1 is dated 1990, so if the sinister six story arc is in a Spider-Man comic, I’d have to believe it is in issues from this series. I do know the amazing Spider-Man title had several sinister six story arcs.
@Johnthecomicguy The series I'm referring to, was literally just called, "Spiderman", too. The arc I read had Dr. Octopus re-uniting the team of Mysterio, Electro, the Vulture, the Hobgoblin, and the Sandman, and Ock retrieving his Adamantium tentacles, and essentially going on a killing spree; hitting high-profile super-science targets and collecting high-tech weapons. The full arc ran for six issues.
