@ I got there at the exact advertised time. So the lady before me certainly was….I just think the guy was flustered, and was often flustered because while his wife didn’t know where he was, she didn’t appear surprised at all lol.

Thank you brother. The dude was conflicted…and clearly had a difficult time prioritizing. I totally understand putting up signs are important to get attention and to attract customers…what he forgot was…it’s customers that have the money…and when you have customers with $$$$$ in hand, you grab them before they leave. I’m not sure he understood that, and not sure he will ever understand that. I k ow for 100% sure, I wasn’t going to wait around for the lady in front of me to pick through the boxes…I’d say, she probably finished flipping through the first short box about 15 minutes after I left. The guy to bolted out of there angry didn’t convince the seller to take all of the boxes out. Thank goodness I was able to convince him…or I would have left as well.

I’m so glad you found this video interesting. By the way, I got mine years ago on eBay. They are not too expensive. I also use mine to press comics (by far the majority of the use) but I will say, if you have a garment steamer…the steam will relax the album cover fibers and though you wouldn’t have a heating aspect of an actual press, I bet you could pile books on a hard flat surface on top of the cover and accomplish a majority of what would be needed to flatten a record cover. The only thing I am unsure of in that scenario is if mold might form because of the moisture without a heating element.

Yes, exactly! It is a very cool shield. The folks working the store were very nice and so engaging. Letting people hold the stuff. Was a lot of fun. I did get a wind up R2D2 though lol…

@ lol I know what you mean man! Yea the staff were very nice when I was there as well. What’s crazy the lady working said that if the boxes the shields were in were tampered with by customers, they had to throw them away! Shield and everything!

@ wow, really? Very strict. By the way, I should also mention, he food in Disney was really excellent. I’ve been to Disney a lot in the past, and never really remember the food being excellent. I think they must have a new Head Chef out there because on this trip, I’ve eaten some really great food!

@ oh ya man it’s amazing! Doing the Epcot around the world and trying the foods in the different countries is one of my favorite things to do

@ yes, we drank around the world hahahaha! Not the first time we’ve done so. We also were there the last week of the food and wine festival. So punch a great time!

It would be so great getting a chance to connect with you! Matt and I (Along with Kevin, another local dealer) are going to start working on having a local comic convention…a legit hall etc in 2025. At least we hope to…if we are able to pull that off, that might be a perfect opportunity for you!
