- This is Canyon High School's Night of Percussion performing a Michael Jackson Medley of tunes, arranged by John Hearnes, featuring the guest artist John "JR" Robinson (with a killer drum solo!). Can you name all of the MJ tunes?? The percussion program is under the direction of Brad Arnold. I hope you enjoy!

That’s the goal!
You Americans are so lucky to be exposed to such great musicians.Very talented young people. That GAL is a star!
These guys are indeed VERY lucky - a concert like this doesn't happen everywhere in America for students of the high school age! I'm glad you enjoyed the music!

+Samba Trombada Rodriguez Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
this is hilarious...a high school video is far superior to all the other music videos...and why? because they held ONE shot in frame...one shot w/o all the stupid editing nonsense...so thank you!
Jeff Porcaro Groove lol I like to think that if the editing was fancier more people would be drawn to it, but here you are saying the opposite. Perhaps it’s the music that triumphs at the end of the day? Thanks for your comment - enjoy the show!
Is he played smooth criminal in 1988?
Yep, that’s him!!
@@stvn11drummer oh i thought that Jonathan moffett played smooth criminal
@@jeremymichaell.paterno1805 no that was JR, you can google search it and verify (that’s what I did lol)
It's not really tight but I love you all got your heart into it. Keep practice beautiful boys n girls!
Easy to play those songs on the drums. More kids need to play a real instrument which builds brain power and teamwork in a very self centered world.
The beat might be simple, but I don’t think it’s very easy to play - especially when trying to sound as good as JR does! I think it’s important for kids to learn all types of percussion - it’s different types of music that will mold the brain in a unique ways for a better overall understanding and musicianship.
Love Dogs you’re clearly a naive idiot if you think these songs are easy to play on drums. These songs take a high level of technique and pristine timing to play at this level. Go home and do your research.
