The easy answer to your situation is either leave and have peace of mind or stay and work it out to make the situation better. Here is my answer, try alittle of both, Try to work it out in a set amount of time and if nothing changes, then you leave. Also think about the consequences that may come with leaving or staying before you make a decision. At the end of the day, peace and a sound mind is important and that may mean making one of the hardest decisions in your life. What ever decision you make, never 2nd guess yourself especially if you leave the relationship. Always stand on your square and you don't owe anybody an explanation. If kids are involved, just make sure you are there for them and when the get older tell them the truth and have receipts in case the ask why you left.
Im in the same situation with a 13 year old daughter who needs her father to teach her how to be a respectful lady in this cold cold world. You must understand that your responsibility is first and foremost to your child, dam be your happiness, you choose your woman, regrdless of how difficult it is, short of physical violence against yourself, youmust honor your responsibility to your child, find your peace where you can, but please don't abandon your children because you and your wife can seem to get along. Being a distant out the hous dad is the same as not being a dad from the childs point of view. Ask yourself, if you would want to share your home between to people, neve really have a home at either place, just a bed , tv etc.. It's not the same as a in home dad, your child did not ask for this situaton, you did, now man up, and care more for your childrens wellbeing and their future than you do about your own, anything less is a selfish selfish mindset. At the end of the day, you make sacrifices for your kids so that they will have a better life.. When you marry and have kids, it's no longer about you. YOU sacrifice your happiness, needs, wants etc for youir children, they should always come first over your own happiness.. Man Up and when your kids are grown at 18 yers old, then you leave and pursue your own happiness.. That how real men sacrifice for their kids.. I’m sorry you’re in that position. My father always told me a divorce is the same as a funeral and we go through all the same emotions grieving the death of something. Please note that even though divorce is a very serious transaction it’s not the end of the world and you will still have an opportunity to teach your children what to look for bc otherwise they’ll fall in the same situation. It’s possible to be happy though and your kids want to see you happy no matter what, prayers up.

Once again, Anton is right on point. Over the last 40+ years men have been taught about marriage from a female or feminine perspective. If we are honest, and start to really pay attention, much of what is talked about and taught in the mainstream is framed from a feminine perspective. It is the "happy wife, happy life" mentality run amok. It is all about pleasing your wife and keeping her happy by doing what she wants to do or what she is supposed to respond to, i.e. "never stop dating" trope. It is rarely about what she is supposed to do for her husband, and NEVER about submitting to or respecting the husband. Even when there is discussion about what a wife is supposed to do for her husband, it has very little if anything to do with respect, honor, or submission. Men are discussed and treated as if they are exactly the same as a woman, and in many cases as if men are like children. All this is happening while also teaching men to continue to be traditional men, to provide, protect and sacrifice for your spouse, and for your kids, but the woman is constantly taught to be independent, strong, and to demand respect.

If they have kids, he should try to fix it first if ut's not already too far gone. And that means a hard fix. Lay the issue out on the table. Say what needs to change and the consequences for not changing. Set a reasonable time table on when he needs to see what changes and clear effort from his wife.
