  • In this rare 1980 mini-documentary, TV host Steve Edwards follows Rosemary Clooney, Helen O'Connell, Margaret Whiting and Rose Marie, as they go through the realistic hardships of life on the road. Conditions seem to be especially unpleasant at the newly-built 7,000-seat Sundome in Phoenix, which has since been torn down. The story only aired locally on a news station in Los Angeles and has not been seen since.

The brief clip of Rosemary Clooney singing Tenderly is a master class on how to sell a lyric.

Rosemary - she was kind and honest. Her voice so rich and expressive. “Tenderly” will never sound the same from another’s mouth.

You have to get the backstage clips after performance where what ever happened before after a standing ovation theres giddy fun that's what should be recognized . They all have I securities putting 4 women together find the right times after the anxiety before performance and you see the girls

This was featured in the 2017 documentary about Rose Marie (highly recommended), where they talked about how no one could stand Helen O'Connell. Sad, but apparently she was incredibly insecure, and a result had a heavy drinking problem which she took out on the others.

That documentary is what is leading me on the hunt for videos of their act. That tour manager even shared that Margret who would never talk bad of anyone, lost her cool over Helen saying she wanted to hurt her after all her BS

You are our of your mind..looking at the back stage and clips of them together..please..Rosemarie had a problem with everyone her Issue with Mary Tyler Moore on dick van dyke that she called chemistry was jealousy and she admitted it to Mary and in an interview after a reunion episode. Helen was hysterical and had a great personality as Rosemary Clooney described. HELEN looked amazing and still had a great voice and range being older than the others.

@@josephreddy5084 And I doubt even Helen would agree with your opinion of her vocal abilities...
