HI Eleanor. We have two hedgehogs visiting our garden. We have been feeding them as recommended and they come back now ever evening about 9ish. Need to make them a home and I like your design. Very clearly explained and a nice simple project that I'm sure many will find easy to follow and make. Looking forward to many little baby Tiggywinkles in our garden soon!!

That is a much easier design than making an outside tunnel Eleanor. Thank you very much!

Hi we have three boxes, two feeding stations, a fresh water station and a trail camera that we can record night- time visits. We have five hogs vistiting from around 8pm until around 7am. Several stay in our boxes during the day and I am able to put white acrylic paint dots, on them, so we can monitor their vists, and identify and monitor new visitors, too. I can send photos if required. Raymond.

Something else that I watched had a great idea on top of the roof. Copper .5mlsheet facing upwards, contact adhesive below. Stops dampness off the roof getting to the nest. Plus a "vent" for moisture escape.

If you can get a paving stone, or even broken pieces, to put the base of the house on, it stops dampness attacking it. If the top is not a really tight fit or has some sort of lock fitted then a badger or even a fox can dislodge it and gain entry.

Yes John. Plus a stone/brick or whatever across the front 5" or 13cm away deters access for cats, foxes etc.

Hello, There is no update video about Spike. I hope he/she recovered.
I just made a hedgehog house out of bricks and wood I had lying about. I covered it with branches and leaves to hide it.

Did you camouflage the house after you built it

I think the door opening is too big. A cat could easily get inside.
