Great review. I am 63, a drummer from days gone bye, and have never been more instantly connected to a new song and band as I am today. Their sound is clean, balanced, vocals smooth, and the transitions throughout the song are riveting. Now waiting with great expectations for the next The Cost masterpiece.
Spot on. I didnt want to hear a drummer going nuts like we all know he can, and then just a guitarist and base player playing along for the ride and it all being about him. I wanted to hear proper music and a style and a sound. I think they nailed it. I absolutely love this song
I Love your reactions to El Estepario.. You are my favorite person to watch reactions from him.. You go into depth and focus on what’s important.. His new song has a great sound and vibe. I can’t wait for you to do the next song.. Keep up the amazing analysis..
This is what I would expect from him as an artist drummer vs. the RUclips sensation drummer. The song is already repeating itself in my brain. A great 3pc band sound. I would say already that The Cost is worth the investment in listening.
DUDE!! I think you hit it on the head... we are at ground zero of what could be history in the making. I feel that "Rock", in the raw, gritty, 90s/2000s era, has been in a deep coma for a long time. And "The Cost" may have very well rewakened it. You and I share many of the thoughts on ESS, dude's fkn a Master. What he's going to bring to the table is going to be real and by the sound of it, fire. I thought about making a reaction of your reaction because you were pulling the words out of my head and wanted to add to you comments. LOL. Anyway... great video... thanks for your time.
Great point saying, "I'm excited to see where they go!" I agree. This was a smart and solid pick for a first song. Lets see their progression over six months!
By far this is the best review for The Costs first release. I liked how you gave us background on the members and your critique was positive and encouraging.
Super Groove-father fan here, came to this channel by accident looking for reactions to THE COST's new release. THE BEST REACTION video to this new band and new song is right here!!! Thanks and Subscibed (I'll binge watch this entire channel over then next week!!!)
I like it. It seems to me to be a collage of groove metal, prog metal and a bit post grunge in there, as well. Struck me right away as a bit Nirvana reminiscent with the hard entry and then tone down with the single string plucking and vocals. Interested to hear more!
I was surprised about how much I liked this, there is vibes of other bands, I look forward to a lot more of them. I loved their musicality they played well together no one stood out, which is what a band is. I hope he still does his drum covers of other bands, but sticks to "normal drumming" with his band.
I am so pleasantly surprised by this, I actually love this song, and cannot wait for more. I am so happy it wasn't just fiddling about. This is a killer song with great vocals, excellent blending of all instrument, it's heavy at times, and most of all it makes me feel something. Oh and did I mention it has Groove!!!!!!!!!
He says that they wrote the song a week ago and recorded it the day before the video was made. And it wasn’t even going to be their first song but then it came together organically so they rolled with it. Killer song, yes. And it has a magic about it.
Actually love this song, 90s grunge with smooth beats, vocals are crushing it with this song. Can't wait for so much more from them! And I am generally more Sabbath, Maiden, Megadeth guy and yet never went nah where is the Sleep Token, TOOL or Dream Theater (also love those bands). So yeah so happy to see this. Note that the two others Chris and Peter had years playing together in a Jazz band and so already got a solid connection and you can tell.
You nailed it! When thinking about the musician in a group, not just a person who covers songs on the internet, that's it. I'm so excited to see what's coming next. Estepário is not only a great drummer but also a great human being. All my best wishes to him. Go Siberiano!
After digging more into the two "new guys", they have another band called Valmuz that is jazz / rock fusion. So they've worked together before in technical stuff as well as the 6 or 7 months they've worked with El Estepario on this project. So all three have technical chops, it's all about what music they want to make together, it could be very interesting and wide ranging in style.
Neil Peart and Danny Carey go nuts on their solos but in Rush and Tool songs... you play to fit the story of the song.... #RESPECT I LOVE THIS.... and you know they may very well go NUTS IN THE FUTURE.... but one hell of a starting line
Just watched the video and I freaking love this! So groovy and the production is so good. I was not expecting this sound but I am here for it! Congratz, The Cost!
Idk what people expected, but Imo this sounds like late 90s early 2000s Metal/Hard rock bands, and I really missed that sound! I'm stoked about this project.
Love the analysis you're doing in every song. I've followed your profile after first reacting to ElestebarioSiberiano's work. I don't know much about music or drums. But I live and admire ElestebarioSiberiano's music and I really like and admire your reactions and comments you're doing. Thank you ...
Thank you OSN for your sincere and transparent analysis! Good to hear balanced, realistic and reasonable fitting of what is happing! EES is an out of this world drummer/percussionist but as you said he is creating is own style with in the band! It kind of recalls me of a Tool + APC mix! Even the lyrics have a deeper meaning which blends with the instrumental in perfection! For sure The Cost - Its not me is on my Play list! Thank you again OSN! 🤘👏
Great Review. Exactly on point! Exactly how I felt. People need to close their eyes and listen....don't look for all that flashy drum tricks and all. Listen and appreciate. Great voice, good rhythm and great notes.
BRO!!! This is not at ALL my musical taste, but I LOVED it - not just for El Estepario, but for those ridiculously smooth vocals AND for the style and content of your reaction. SO EXCITED to see where this goes, and SUBSCRIBING to you with the "All Bell" ON! 🙏
Many months of collab before doing this song wow! This is nice and I would bet there will be a lot of great songs coming and look forward to see what they came up with!
I am SO GLAD you kept emphasizing what he said about the band. Every other reaction I've seen has been confused and wondering where the crazy shit is and it's beyond frustrating. Let the man make whatever music he wants!! This shit fucks!!!
I love that it is probably nothing close to what your regular followers were expecting even being announced by you that it wouldnt be but still this is very well put together and with his other band mates being in a jazz band together they have no limits to their musical abilities so excited for more releases 💯👀💯👀🔥🎼
Love your reaction and love their song too. You can tell you have genuine passion and respect for everything that Estepario does and now his band. Keep up the great reactions. Thank you
Hey man love your reactions to Estepario's videos! I highly respect the amount of respect you give him and his music, he is indeed going somewhere in his career and we are all part of history! Respect to you, to Estepario and all the fans!
i like this.. clean vocals( don't get me wrong, i like really much growling and more heavier music too), slow but heavy and gentle.. and again heavy.. nice mix up.. (sorry my English skills) can i say it is gently heavy and clean, it is relaxing to hear? i enjoyed this very much!
I fricken love this - of all the sounds he could have went with... this is my jam and toast and peanut butter... its everything. So excited to hear more.
lol your thumbnail threw me off on this one. I saw "Not For Me" and thought maybe you didn't like the song! But then I remembered that's the NAME of the song 😅😅 Great reaction, can't wait to hear what you think about The Cost's second song!
I am with you, a very good song and his typical sound is there. It´s amazing what a big sound he creates with this small Drumkit. A little bit like Ian Paice
I must say i loved that song, it has calmnes, but also some heavy deep tones that just fits so perfect.. it reminds me a bit of Jinjer, Rage Against and many others.. looking sooo forward to the next coming up 😎🤘
OSN REALLY IN ENJOY YOUR REACTION. YOUR COMMENTS ARE SPOT ON AND I TOTALLY AGREE. GREAT SONG NICE SOUND. LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE OF THE COST.!!!!! AND YOUR REACTIONS!!!!!
Hey!) That is interesting song what I'm listening in this or last year. I wanna listening all composition which they made. And your reaction was great!)
It was posted 7hrs ago and there is already a reaction? Wow. I really like the song and it's not my peferred genre but it's so well made... so clean, refined and great sounds. I really appreciate when new original music is made. It would be funny a band called Los Steparios.
I recorded it live during the premiere and I do not edit or cut my reactions so they are 100% real... so it went up with in 40 mins.... yeah I know weird
It's got a great hook to it. Love the vocals and lyrics. Bass is super solid and El Estepario is showing exactly how giving and collaborative of a teammate he is. First off, all of his choices in musicality support the other musicians. He's not upstaging, anybody. It's a great blend of all three. Second point is that as soon as the intro video started, he made it immediately about the other guys and their contributions even though he is the known quantity and the original draw for people to listen to. That in and of itself speaks volumes about him as a musician and human. And finally, this ties into point two, he's open to newer ideas than what has already been committed to if they are strong. This song is that example. Recording a new song as quickly as they did was taking a huge risk, especially with his name as the draw, but he's got respect and faith in the skills of his comrades in music and wants to showcase what they do as a functional team. Props to all three. I've already listened multiple times. The vocals remind me a bit of Flaw (specifically Whole) while being their own animal, which is a great thing in my book. Looking forward to more and seeing where this ride goes.
Hey Oldskulenerd, great to see EES in his own band. I Thank you for your for your work. Awesome but if they are Jazz Muscians they may need therapy when finished. Hope not, LoL Got to be 1 of the best drummers, I started playing drums when I was 12 and it takes much practice and then when comes time to pave the way to your own style its tough usually pushed into them from bands you play with if your lucky enough. But you got to hand it to EES he is actually trying new things for everyone. We never get there alone.
Chris and Peter are in a jazz band together, this trio's skill set has no limits - they are going to take us on one wild journey.
Nice info.
Clearly very talented
It's got a Deftones vibe and I'm all for it!
Antimatter vibe
Deftones, bush , korn ,
Old school new metal vibes ...so refreshing..😊
100%
For me, the 30 first seconds sound like something type o negative would have pulled out.
@@Trikipum i get that. I hear a touch of SOAD in the melody too
Great review. I am 63, a drummer from days gone bye, and have never been more instantly connected to a new song and band as I am today. Their sound is clean, balanced, vocals smooth, and the transitions throughout the song are riveting. Now waiting with great expectations for the next The Cost masterpiece.
Yes Sir! Age doesn't matter... if you dig it you dig it!
In the pocket, crisp, and fat drums. Playing what is required for the song. That's what a true musician does.
100% thats exactly what he did.. he is at the core a musician
Spot on. I didnt want to hear a drummer going nuts like we all know he can, and then just a guitarist and base player playing along for the ride and it all being about him. I wanted to hear proper music and a style and a sound. I think they nailed it. I absolutely love this song

Totalmente de acuerdo contigo, han cogido un poco de aquí, un poco de allí y han hecho una receta que al cocinarla les ha salido un plato exquisito
Your going!😮

Of all the people reacting to EES, you are my favourite by far. Greetings from Barcelona, Spain. Keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you!
Agreed! This guy must be a riot at a bbq. Would love to have a beer, munching on a dog and talking to him.
This grew on me. After 3 listens I like it a lot.

yeah, super polished for a new rock trio

I did look up Vaud after this reaction and I like them
Sometimes is enough to listen just once and you fall in love with it ..I am overjoyed at EES decision. Cheers from Barcelona!!!
Me encantan tus reacciones del Estepario Siberiano. Un saludo desde Madrid 🤗
Knowing his capabilities on tbe drums, his self control is amazing. Good song, good reaction video
Neil Peart and Danny Carey go nuts on their solos but in Rush and Tool songs... you play to fit the story of the song.... #RESPECT I LOVE THIS.... and you know they may very well go NUTS IN THE FUTURE.... but one hell of a starting line

Such a smooth track, lately I've been core-kid through and through, but the chill factor here is very enjoyable

Amazing first single by Siberian and a wonderful reaction video..
I love your take on this and a 100% agree
I am SO GLAD you kept emphasizing what he said about the band. Every other reaction I've seen has been confused and wondering where the crazy shit is and it's beyond frustrating. Let the man make whatever music he wants!! This shit fucks!!!
I loved it the first time I listened to it. I shared it with my son and it's now his favorite song. Great start for the Cost. Can't wait to hear more.
I LOVE their sound and I freaking LOVE this song! 🙌🏾

I enjoyed the premier. so it's interesting hearing what others thought. I thought this could easily be on many of the rock radios
I liked it a bunch, it reminds me a bit of Deftones, but more melodic, there is a ton of bad music out there so this is a breath of fresh air!
its so exciting seeing band being born, and i love this!
Its kick ass that it wasnt what ppl expected
Love the man even more starts a band with fellow Irish lads and gets a kick ass nu metal sound strong korn pod vibes. God's
I thought it was absolutely awesome, ready to see them live!

I’m looking again and see you have your special “El Estepario Siberiano” hoody on.
love your reaction vids and love the song I'm so pleased for elesteppario
This was a hellacious opening song imo. This band is going to explode. That old 90’s passion metal/rock vibe etc. I dig it.
This tine is like an expertly done simple black and grey tattoo with perfect line work. Just clean with rock solid fundamentals.
Brilliant sound, love how strip back and minimalistic it all is,simple set, simple lights

Blow this up on SPOTIFY!! DOO IT!!! Love your reacts OSN!
I absolutely love this song. I can't get enough of it. What a debut for El Estepario
