    Love your videos! The anodized brake reservoirs are definitely nice upgrades, looks great! I love watching clearly communicated and well made videos like yours. Happy New year! Maybe a video idea would be how to wash/ clean the bike?

      I'm glad you enjoy the videos! I really enjoy making them! I definitely plan to do one on bike cleaning. I've managed to keep the bike looking new even after almost 10,000 km's so I have a few tips I can share. It will also likely have a few tips for owners of matte paint. I also plan to do one on proper chain adjustment, cleaning and lubrication.

    Once again, an outstanding walkthrough man! I love the look of the anodized reservoirs. Did the front and rear come separately?

    • @scottytriple869
      @scottytriple869  9 лет назад

      Thanks TriplePrime! Glad you liked it! They do look way better than the original ones! Yes they did come separately, they are around $80-100 each. I may add the part numbers to the description to help others out. I didn't originally because there are different ones depending on if you need the bracket for the front.

    Hey there, again another great and clear production. At the time watching the vid, I was wondering if the fluid shouldn't be refreshed. But you explained it in the end. Nice job and thnx again 👍.
    BTW do you do your edits on Première Pro, Final Cut or Vegas?

      Glad you enjoyed it! Ya, the bike is fairly new and I am planning to do a full video on brake flushing/changing later in the season. It would have been too much to do all at once right now and I wanted to show people that you don't actually need to. I do my videos with Premier Pro CC, just getting my feet wet with it, I'm still learning the software!

      ScottyTriple Ha nice thnx. Well once you know wich button is for wich function, it's straight forward. I still using Première CS6 workwise and sideprojects (74 frames RUclips). If you have any questions just shoot. Maybe something to add to your list: 12V (usb) plug.

    Hi Scotty! The reservoir is fully anodized metal or there's also plastic on it?

    HOW ABOUT A VIDEO ABOUT INSTALLING HANDLE BARS?
    I BOUGHT MINE WITH BARS IN THE LOW POSITION ALREADY, THINKING ABOUT INSTALLING TRIUMPH'S WIDER BLACK HANDLE BARS IN THE HIGH POSITION, LIKE HOW THEY NORMALLY COME...
    LOW POSITION IS GOOD FOR GETTIN IT IN MATE! IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN....

    Hey, great video. But I was wondering, If the new front reservoir sits in a different place from the old one, is it ok to use an short piece of brake line to extend the original or should I replace the whole line? Thanks.

    • @scottytriple869
      @scottytriple869  9 лет назад

      +Matthaus Godrich
      Well, if it's the correct accessory reservoir it shouldn't require any extension of the brake line. But you could replace the short line that goes from the reservoir to the master cylinder. Just make sure to use a line approved for use in the braking system that won't react with the fluid. Also, it would be a good idea to bleed the entire system if you are swapping the lines as you are taking the fluid out right to the master cylinder and likely got air in.

    Is there no need to bleed the brakes?

    • @scottytriple869
      @scottytriple869  9 лет назад +1

      Jeffrey Man Because you are siphoning out the fluid from above the master cylinder there is little chance you will get air down into the lines unless you apply the brakes and suck air down into them.
