Was an interesting comparison. But honestly most of your points about DotA2 just made me appreciate league more and remind me why when I first tried both out I gave up dota first and never looked back. The things dota already had that league added are things most league players are incredibly unhappy they added in general. And, while most players are complaining about the snowball, the majority of league players are happy the avg game time is down to under 30 minutes- games that draw out for 45min- hour and having your leads get easily negated make games frustrating and feel like coin flips. Also- league players are mad about the battle pass, its not a good thing. Ill give you one thing though- that crownfall event looks amazing. If it looked like that id love it. From the look of it RIOT already stole the concept for their Legends of Runeterra card battler, and iirc they used it for Wild Rift the mobile game version of league. I do want to mention the fact that draft in league is extremely important- there are 30% or less winrate matchups, and team comps that instant lose in champ select. And the quick play model was almost exclusively used by people who wanted to play troll picks without their team getting a chance to dodge. So glad its gone. Demo mode would be amazing to add for sure. My biggest desire for practice tool is to be able to swap champion and runes without exiting the tool. In the end, its not surprising to me league has an avg of 35 million daily players to dotas 1/2 million. Its more appealing and accessible to new and casual players in general. As much as i would love to see things like every champion free for example, the numbers riot has from the microsoft game pass partnership show that more brand new players churn out if they start with every champion than if they dont. But it is amusing and incredibly ironic how much they are actually "getting inspiration" from dota directly 😅. Im positive ultimate spellbook game mode is at min "inspired" by ability draft, heres hoping they full steal it next 😂. And multiple bans, for the love of all that is good 😢. Fearless Draft for pro is gonna force the pros to bring their A game. Cant wait for it. @@frozenphreak7528 i mean dota and league is pretty successful game. Both have militant fans, but yeah lol has much more players since it more convenient.
@@frozenphreak7528 Maybe League should copy minecraft it wouldn't be losing players too lol
Last years worlds was the record most watched esport event ever with nearly 4.8 million peak live viewers, this years has potential to break that record again at this rate.
100% agree BTW that riot could do better in alot of ways. Their server hosting costs are different than valves, but I miss my favorite game modes 😢
@@thatgreenguyplayer2 yup I agree! This isn't a video on what game is better or worse, just my take on the patch. I think that league is far more inviting than Dota and is better at keeping people invested through sunk cost, since everything is unlocked and progression is tracked while Dota has neither. I've made vids, some showcasing things Dota copied from league... and the list is pretty huge! But, Dota has become better with each adoption. Check out my video on the subject, showcasing some heroes that are partially or fully inspired by champions and league mechanics!
Doesnt matter what you dk with LOL. It's not going to be on par with Dota 2. Unless they make a full copy then it won't be as good as it is. You just prefer it 😂
im a new league player im maining ap jax jungle right now and i get called a troll even tho its completely viable and is better than ad jax
I don't see how getting your lead negated is a coinflip. You must have made some crucial mistakes to let them come back from a deficit. Not pushing your advantage, bad map movements, or overextending etc. Snowball heavy games are not less coin flippy by any means - instead the coin was flipped in the laning stage or even the draft.
this video is satire right?... right?
some of it, not most.
Wdym satire, league's premise in 2009 was supposed to be the 'new' dota
The skin isn't selling much, so they cut some cost by copying dota instead of creating new features
League for babies, dota 2 for real men. League is just a copycat
u mad?
@TZAR_POTATO telling the truth is not mad. I'm a dota 1 player since 2004 now dota 2. There was no League during dota 1. League just basically copy the concept of dota. That's a fact.
@TZAR_POTATO You better conpare League of Legends to Mobile legends they look similar even the name of the game.
