I have done testing with my own setups and similar results are why I am not a 4 fletch guy for either hunting or target applications. I had slightly better grouping with 4 fletch in normal/calm conditions, but I always had more drag/drift as well. I try to find the least amount of fletching & helical possible to steer my broadheads of choice then use those for both applications. Great videos and testing, appreciate the work put into them and looking forward to more.
This is very helpful and thank you for the encouragement! I agree with your results as well sounds like we are on the same page. I have always used 4 fletch but am leaning towards 3 fletch this year with slight helical. Basically what is needed to stabilize fixed broadhead with the least amount of drag and drift. I feel like wind drift gets overlooked as I was really surprised by these results. What is your current vane setup?
@@TrueLineOutdoors I am currently using a Zinger Z3 to the left and have it tuned to where I can shoot a Sevr or Annihilator at distance. I have also added an Easy Vane 3FTL44 for comparison to see if the same 3 fletch 3 deg will work with a lower profile option.
That should teach you to get the Mathews quiver! 😂🤣🎯🏹 But seriously great video and keep up the great work!👍💯 God Bless you and your family & Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Hahahaha yes sir!!! I’m glad you got a good laugh I did too!!! Really appreciate the support it is encouraging some of these vids are resonating. I attempted a sound test with the 7 vanes and it failed going to keep trying to get it done the right way. God bless you and your family. Thankful for our Savior! Merry Christmas! -Kyle
Thank you so much! I have been thinking about doing this. This test worked great with the wind being direct north to south where I could shoot in the barn. I’m hopeful I will get a broadhead wind test done in the future! -Kyle
Keep it up, you’re doing a great job
Thank you Leroy! Really appreciate it! I’m thankful the wind worked out for this one. -Kyle

Good video, very helpful. Sub'd & following along as like to see this test using mech vs fixed (solid & vented) broadheads.
