Memorial service held for Oregon, Ohio first responders who have passed away

The City of Oregon held their annual memorial service on Sunday to honor those in their public safety divisions who have passed on.
The event took place in the front of the Municipal Complex on Seaman Road.
Each year the city honors those who have passed away who were part of the Oregon Police Division, Oregon Fire and Rescue Department, as well as city officials and other employees.
One by one, the names of the deceased were read aloud as a bell rang one time in their honor.
According to the city, those who were honored at Sunday’s event are not only seen as protectors of the city but also family.
