I think there's a huge difference between sharing something vulnerable and sharing information that can affect your safety. It's great to know that your digestion is better on seed probiotics, but I don't need to know what the front of your house looks like
Please please please do more research about the solar panels lease prior to finalizing. People are trying to warn you about the downsides of doing this, just like they tried to warn you about the short closing period and inspector which you now count as a life lesson. Please don’t make the solar panels be part of future mistakes you have to summarize as lessons learned.
Look I don’t think you’re a bad person at all. I just question if you think before you talk. SD does not have the worst water in the country. I would know, I live in Oceanside. And water quality has nothing to do with how far it is from the Colorado River. It’s incredibly unfortunate when someone with such a large platform just blurts things out bc they catch the audience’s attention.
One thing to consider: rented Solar Panels can be a big pain; There is no buy out of the lease so if you ever want to sell your house, the buyer has to qualify for the mortgage and then they have to qualify for the solar loan. The panels lose strength over the years and are not producing electric at capacity so you end up with big electric bill and solar loan.
Just had this conversation in & about AZ. You’d think with the sun shining 300+ days a year, you’d see a huge percentage of homes with solar panels. That’s not the case. I’d be skeptical about the “rental” program. If it was that good, more people would be doing it.
Solar panels in AZ was also a big regret for us. We had to pay them off when we sold the house within a year of installing them. $$🫣 We really thought it was our forever house but life can have other unexpected plans. Definitely think it over carefully and compare with other options, read reviews, check out if tax credits and savings are worth it.
You ask for opinions and for the vlog to hold you accountable… if uncomfortable feedback will cause you to label people as haters, then perhaps don’t ask for it in the first place? There are a lot of people who actually care about you but feel like they can’t say anything because you’ll just block them the moment an opinion rubs you the wrong way.
If you didn’t lease the solar panel yet, consider buying it. You will get federal and state tax credits for buying solar panels and it will cut your cost more or atleast half of your price.
Totally second this. Huge tax credits on every penny you spend on the panels and installation. We love our panels - they pay for themselves easily (money saved on electricity covers the monthly loan payment on the panels) - and will increase the value of our home when we’re ready to sell. My other suggestion is to get the battery backup if you can, so you can use any excess energy from the day in the evening and be closer to being off grid. Also helps in any power outage situation.
Grounding is real, everyone needs to reset. As for sharing online, yes be more aware of your time and places you plan to be. Instead of telling us your next adventure, tell us when you return. Especially in the times we are all going through right now.
I love this for you! And while I agree about the over sharing before on the safety aspect and such I have to say I feel you really strike a good balance like not revealing your wedding date or details until it was almost happening and the like. But a great thing about the job you do is that you get these creative ideas that give you this reflection opportunity and it’s really amazing. When I was 27 I was barely able to get through my days let alone take the time to reflect like this. It’s just going to do so much good for you to have these moments and I hope that others especially those around your age really take that onboard and are totally influenced by it because that’s an awesome influence to have xx❤
Your house journey has definitely been a learning experience. Our home inspector was quite pricey but he was extremely thorough with the structure, the electricity, the plumbing, he spent a fair amount of time in the attic and in our dirt floor crawl space on the back of our partial basement. He even had experience with coal shuts (we have one), the well and cistern. So thankful for his expertise and how thorough he was. Well worth the cost. There's never any guarantee that somethings won't be missed. Love the video.
This probably should've have been 2 videos. I had difficulty following what was being said and I normally don't experience that on this channel. A lot of information was presented. Michel does a good job on synthesizing content so it's not overwhelming so I'm kind of shocked I didn't get through the video. Did anybody else feel this way or is it just me?
Video idea: can you show us tips for planning baby/wedding showers and birthdays! I always love the way you add so many sweet touches to the events you plan. I can definitely see how much of a gift you have for hosting others!
Completely agree with you about being by the ocean! Absolutely love it. I live in Oregon, and I love going to the Oregon coast as often as I can. I love that within an hour I can have my feet in the sand!
Michel you may want to consider a water system for the whole house. In Fl our water is so bad it effected my skin and hair. Solar is a great idea. Thank you for your video.
We rent in central California and the home is brand new with solar panals and our energy bill is $52. Alway have lived in in california and our energy bill has never been over $100.
Not getting a degree! I explained this in some past videos but the school I’m at has several programs - I decided against the degree program bc I can’t swing the 1,000 apprenticeship hours required. So instead I’m starting with a 22 week program (no degree) to see what I learn and decide if I want to do more when I’m done!
Hi Michel. Long time watcher and first time commenter. I’ve heard you mention your frustrations with your home purchase and how quickly your timeline for purchase happened. As a Realtor, I think it’s a little unfair for you to generalize that all Realtors are just working for a quick transaction and commission and not looking out for their clients. It sounds like your singular experience was frustrating and your agent was maybe not working in your best interest but every agent I know does everything in their power to give options and choice to their clients to help them have the best home buying experience possible. Just my two cents. I feel like there have been multiple mentions lately of how bad realtors are and that’s just not the truth for the majority of us!
I agree with your statement. I worked for a lender (in SoCal) and we did transactions for over 100 different realtors. Maybe only a couple were that pushy sales person. If anything most try to talk you out of purchasing if the house isn’t a good value or will be more of a headache. They should have given her options for the inspector and should have warned her on what the inspector cannot inspect. For example: out California house had solar and the inspector was VERY clear that it needed its own inspection.
They did submit a song about getting the house to the sellers and were chosen as the buyers even though their offer was less than others. I don't understand how they went from happy to sounding frustrated about the house. It seems like the perfect house for them even if it's not perfect.
One rule my late husband and I always had was when grumpy, we would say, "It's not you." If we were aggravated with each other, we would tell the other right away, but if just grumpy or upset about something else, we would say "It's not you" right away. When your partner is grumpy, if they're not saying what it is, it can be uncomfortable worrying if they're upset with you for something or it can get you in a bad mood. Letting the other know it wasn't them, completely eased that, and then we just gave each other space until the grumpy one wanted to discuss it or just felt better. I know so many couples who get in arguments because one will be grumpy, and the other takes offense to it, also getting grumpy or drives them crazy asking what's wrong, making the person's grumpy mood worse.
Oh I wonder if you've already installed the solar panels? My husband and I did a great deal of research and there are really some drawbacks that you may not have heard about. I highly recommend not putting them on your roof and if you really want them, to set up panels in your yard instead.
Hospitality is 100 percent a gift ☺️ watching your channel for so long you are incredible at this. Serving Jesus and others this way is truly so beautiful and valued. ❤
Hi Michel, I really don't post, but I wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. Your insight is spot on. I am so appreciative you took the time to share with us. That inspector insight is so valuable!! Live and learn. We had a learning experience with that also. Ugh.... Your parents have to be so proud of the women you are and so happy for you. What a blessing to them and so many of us.

Great video, Michel👏🏻 I loved the list of 27 things that you’ve learned - self awareness is important in life, I believe, to help you to understand what you want to achieve in life and how to work for it ❤️💐 Good luck👍🙏🌅

I am 47 I realize that is what growing is biggest thing is our self talk we can be so hard on ourselves and mean .I am learning through many hard times that I was so hard on myself never forgave myself for my mistakes.I am just leaning the true meaning of One day at a time.
I was a Christian my entire life and heavily involved in church, until a few years ago. Leaving has given me significant perspective and one of the things that has bothered me is the mentality of “you’re never doing enough” as a Christian. You put that on yourself in the last point when you said “I can be better, I can do more”. It just reminded me of the suffocating feeling of, once you’re saved, you’re never reading your Bible enough, or involved enough, or acting right enough, etc.
My best to you on your journey of being comfortable in your own skin Michel. Life is a journey and you helping you is helping me and others. Long time subber. Oh, and while I am here, lemme just say this: You and Jordy make THE bestest couple! ✝️💗💗
I have recently started Pilates too with my weak back and shoulders due to a condition but I'm thinking the same - I think I can stick with it and I'm really enjoying it!
I absolutely absolutely adore this video! It was so lovely to hear the lessons you've learned. I admire your generosity so much. It's so rare these days that I'm usually shocked when you share about it, but in a good way. I'm glad you're not afraid to just be yourself. You look so happy lately! I love you
She's lucky to have good parents, they definitely made her life super easy. At age 27, I had way different lessons. It's not her fault that she had a headstart in life having good parents, but I can see a vast difference in lessons at age 27 between Michel and other people.
How so? Is she supposed to be suffering in order to be acknowledged as "not screaming middle class"? Why does it bother people so much if someone else has great, loving, helpful parents who didn't pass on generation trauma?
@@VSFashion89 As DJ Khalid would say "ANOTHER ONE" as in you are another example of no awareness of how reality is for the majority of people. She would be suffering if her family didn't have money or security.
You are truly an inspiration, I hope young viewers watch and learn from you. I agree with your ideas about generosity and hospitality. Giving is truly my love language as is hosting. Have a great day! ❤
I wonder if you'd be interested in being a caterer or the old-fashioned sort, who actually plans the parties and does the food for them. It would tie into your love of hosting as well as your love of cooking. Food for thought. (See what I did there?) Also, solar panels are not really all that expensive to buy. There are many government programs that help you pay for them or reduce the price. And, if you buy them, and decide to sell your house someday, it would have definitely greatly increased the value of your house. Just a thought.
Just remember that people who have never met you can't actually hate you. They can only hate what they project on to you! Opinions formed about you in your total absence are not your responsibility to entertain or care about.
When I was a realtor I always gave 3 or 4 inspectors in the area. Most people wanted a suggestion and it is much better to walk through with the inspector. I am 65 and I love to learn and I do research everything. Adding another comment vitamin B1 it’s awesome for emotions and it is a natural happy pill. Added another comment solar is great but make sure your insurance company does not raise or cancel you. They are tough with panels on different roofs.
bro why didnt (either of) your 2 sets of parents tell you about the house stuff.....do they not know these things from buying their own homes? esp since yours "went in on it" with you lol
I agree, as michel parents have been round the block they should have pre warn to a certain extent, although you cannot always predict things. Here in UK you get a full structural survey, which should highlight problems.
If they bought a house a looonnngg time ago, it may not have been something they thought of or maybe they used the one the realtor suggested when they purchased their home and didn't have any problems. We don't know what happened and why.
I’m with you on the beach! Although I don’t live near the beach when we go on vacations I can tell a difference in my wellbeing just sitting on the beach and I can do it for hours! My husbands is a few years away from retirement and I am trying soooo hard to talk him into relocating near a beach to retire. I told him I would live in a tent with him if he would just move me near a beach! 😂
Why did she get married and move/uproot her whole life so quickly? Didn’t realize they’re barely together for two years. They’re both young. Why the rush. I just don’t get why Michel keeps making the same mistakes. Before anyone says it’s not our business, she made it all her viewers’ business.
Watching comment threads with her and Jordy on social has made me reconsider subscribing. They're quite immature and rude. I understand that some people comment mean things, but they almost bully people back. I'm not a fan of the dynamic and don't think they're as kind as they let on.
Lol this sounds like a typical millenial/Gen Z “poor me” now a days attittude. You can do or say whatever you want but if others say anything back ohhh noo “ poor me” Lol yes when you are rude/mean/innapropriate there are natural consequences. Too much entitlement. I work at a school and see/ hear this attitude every day. Yes Michel is kind but she is not a freakim doormat and has a right to speak up
@@christyp4264what are you even on about? She literally makes money sharing her life so no I don’t feel bad when she gets called out on some of the nonsense she shares. You can’t have it both ways - you either take responsibility for the fact you share things and admit when you make mistakes or you don’t share anything
When buying a house get your own lawyer. The seller's lawyer is not your lawyer. The lender's lawyer is not your lawyer. For example, where I live I got my own lawyer and they filed homestead for me. This makes it harder for the home to be foreclosed on if it is your primary residence. Neither the seller nor lender is interested in getting that filed.
I'm 49 years old, but I felt like I learned a couple good things watching this (so many valuable nuggets). You are wise beyond your years and a joy to watch. God is using you in big ways and I'm so happy you are enjoying this new season of life. ❤
Sounds like your Real Estate Agent did not act in your best interest, which is required of them. They have a fiduciary responsibility and should behave ethically. I appreciate the awareness from your experience, I think it’s unfair to apply your experience to all agents. I work for an agent and she would never not act in a clients best interest. Also, Agents are supposed to give you a list of inspectors to choose from, not select or guide your toward 1. Not sure of all of the details of your experience, but you might have grounds to file a complaint.
I have a feeling she might be taking legal action against someone(s) involved in the home inspection process, which is why she hasn't said more. I don't know for sure, but that's the impression I've gotten.
She also bought the house without seeing it in person. Buying a house is hands on and shouldn’t be done over FaceTime. Can’t put all of the blame on a realtor
I have noticed a pattern of Michel partnering companies who don't have good reviews. I look up the products she recommends and some of them have terrible reviews. I understand the "image" of a home or product looking nice, but she needs to look at the "substance" of things/people/companies. I like Michel's channel, and this is not a criticism, just an observation.
I agree with the never to old to go back to school and learn. I finally got back to school and got my degree at 38, and about half of my class in the program was 30 or over
" Crunchy woo woo" cracked me up ! You have a lot of wisdom for 27. Wish I'd been that mature and wise at that age for sure. My traumas kinda ruled my life. So happy you're not only recovering but thriving during this lovely time in your life!
Looking back and watching old videos when you were married to “he who shall not be named” I can really see how much you’ve grown. You’re learned lesson of not have to change for someone or having to change for them for see your value, is so so obvious when looking back. It’s crazy to see how much you craved his attention and how much you tried to please him without getting love in return. And now you are getting the attention and love you deserve just by being you. And it’s so refreshing and lovely to see. So so happy for you Michel. You’re so young but the lessons you’ve learned are so wise. ❤😊 Sending love as always from your friends in Canada 🇨🇦
From one 27 year old girly figuring it all out to another... dig a little deeper on leasing solar. It is a huge hassle and pain, and I have only heard nightmares. I have a friend who used to work for a solar company that leased its panels - they no longer exist and I have no clue what happens to all their clients. It may seriously be worth just waiting until you can afford to buy. Just a warning.
Hi, Michel and Happy Monday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. I watched your wedding video and I cried...with happy tears😊😢😊 when my heart is start to dance. And now, you're 27 with lots of ideas of becoming a parent or something. I like it!😊💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙👍
The sad thing now is… anyone can find you. My friend found your house, not being creepy but just liked it, so your address is out there. I mean everyone’s is now but kind of scary. So maybe don’t say when Jordy is gone. I love the beach so much, even though I don’t want to live in California, even though it is beautiful, too pricey and liberal 😄 I enjoyed this very much as I always do enjoy your content. I absolutely couldn’t live without the Lord and praying over everything!
100% agree. It is way too easy to find this information. I would recommend her to take some videos down where she shows the interior & some views from the home, but I doubt she will.
Being in touch with nature is a big thing for me as well. I live on the mountains, so I don't have the beach experience beyond vacation time (and I love it), but being outside and being aligned to seasons, with feet on the ground and nature just doing its thing around has a big impact on my nervous system. I cannot do it much lately, because of a few reasons, and I notice a big difference.
It was so refreshing to hear you speak on the Sabbath... Just keep in mind that Saturday is the Sabbath, and has been since the first week of Creation... God blessed the Saturday Sabbath and made it holy since Creation! You may want to look in to it... Much love to you !! 💕
I have to say i started crying when you said that your allowed to have a bad day or be grumpy. I come from a very abusive relationship and i absolutely understand how it feels to not be allowed to be upset or have a bad day becuase it can cause your partner to spiral. Wow that hit so hard and its such a blessing to be allowed to feel whatever because you are in a healthy relationship.❤

Yes, all of this! 25-year "rental" agreements are a red flag in general. Short-term financial gain, but long-term financial losses and headaches.
I don’t think all companies are the same, because I am in Northern California with rented solar, and we can buy them out anytime after 5 years.

Oh, and while I am here, lemme just say this:
You and Jordy make THE bestest couple! ✝️💗💗
Awee thank you sweet friend!!🤍
I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that you exist ❤️ the world needs more people like you. Watching your videos heals me and my heart
Please don't stop making your video's I look forward to watching them.
I miss living by the beach. Definitely felt less stressed and healthier when we lived there.
I love you
Thank you sweet friend!!🤍🤍
This woman screams middle class mommy and daddy white collar jobs who paid for her college and helped her in every aspect of life.
lol, well that is 100 percent accurate!
And?
Pilates coupled with weight lifting a couple of days a week did WONDERS for my EDS pain!
Thanks for all the thoughts friend!! Love it!!🤍🤍
Just remember that people who have never met you can't actually hate you. They can only hate what they project on to you! Opinions formed about you in your total absence are not your responsibility to entertain or care about.
Thank you Mia🫶🏼🤍
Totally 100% Agree
Oooh that's a WORD!
LOVE THIS!!!!
Great comment
@@angelrebekah9153you must not know that her dad’s entire career is in real estate
💯🎯💯🎯💯🎯💯🎯💯
I’m sure they would have if they felt it was a concern, they seem like people who are assuming the best. So maybe relax on the judgment
look into a solar program that will give the panels for free along with install. there are several
Hahaha I love that!! 🤍🤍
@SarahhTait you mean here or on IG? Just curious
Lol this sounds like a typical
millenial/Gen Z “poor me” now a days attittude.
Since when is 27 young for marriage? Who are you to say her marrying (2 years later) is her “making a mistake?” So weird.
What magnesium do you take?

When buying a house get your own lawyer. The seller's lawyer is not your lawyer. The lender's lawyer is not your lawyer. For example, where I live I got my own lawyer and they filed homestead for me. This makes it harder for the home to be foreclosed on if it is your primary residence. Neither the seller nor lender is interested in getting that filed.
This is really great to know! Thank you Erin!!🤍
I really loved and appreciated all of these! Thank you for sharing!!
🤍🫶🏼Thank you for watching friend
I agree with the never to old to go back to school and learn. I finally got back to school and got my degree at 38, and about half of my class in the program was 30 or over
" Crunchy woo woo" cracked me up ! You have a lot of wisdom for 27. Wish I'd been that mature and wise at that age for sure. My traumas kinda ruled my life. So happy you're not only recovering but thriving during this lovely time in your life!
Thank you sweet friend! I am sorry for the hardships of life you have experienced! We got this friend!!🤍🤍
I started watching you when you lived in your studio apartment and did subscription box hauls! Crazy how we've grown
Aquaduct?
Looking back and watching old videos when you were married to “he who shall not be named” I can really see how much you’ve grown. You’re learned lesson of not have to change for someone or having to change for them for see your value, is so so obvious when looking back. It’s crazy to see how much you craved his attention and how much you tried to please him without getting love in return. And now you are getting the attention and love you deserve just by being you. And it’s so refreshing and lovely to see. So so happy for you Michel. You’re so young but the lessons you’ve learned are so wise. ❤😊
Sending love as always from your friends in Canada 🇨🇦
From one 27 year old girly figuring it all out to another... dig a little deeper on leasing solar. It is a huge hassle and pain, and I have only heard nightmares. I have a friend who used to work for a solar company that leased its panels - they no longer exist and I have no clue what happens to all their clients. It may seriously be worth just waiting until you can afford to buy. Just a warning.
$600 a month!?! Are you sure??
Yeah no way. We live in Carlsbad and our bill is nowhere close to that
Hi, Michel and Happy Monday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. I watched your wedding video and I cried...with happy tears😊😢😊 when my heart is start to dance. And now, you're 27 with lots of ideas of becoming a parent or something. I like it!😊💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙👍
Michel, you are so wise beyond your years and you are someone I look up to a lot!
Wow this means so much to me friend! Thank you!!🤍🤍
The sad thing now is… anyone can find you. My friend found your house, not being creepy but just liked it, so your address is out there. I mean everyone’s is now but kind of scary. So maybe don’t say when Jordy is gone.
I love the beach so much, even though I don’t want to live in California, even though it is beautiful, too pricey and liberal 😄
I enjoyed this very much as I always do enjoy your content.
I absolutely couldn’t live without the Lord and praying over everything!
When she posts the videos are like two weeks old I believe. But still very concerning that she’s got so much info online about where she lives etc.
100% agree. It is way too easy to find this information. I would recommend her to take some videos down where she shows the interior & some views from the home, but I doubt she will.
Thank you so much for sharing 💗
We love you too Michel. ❤️

It’s so crazy how 2yrs you’ve matured so much!!! And kinda seem more quiet in some ways❤ I have a generous heart that’s why I like your channel!!!
Lots of great lessons? Thanks Michel ❤
love watching your videos! you are so amazing and inspiring!! keep up the great content! hope your day has been amazing🩷🩷
Thank you so much Camryn!!🤍🤍
Do you got your PhD ??
One of my favorite holidays was spent at a hotel on the beach. It was so wonderful to fall asleep listening to the ocean.
Ohh that sounds like such a dream!!🤍
I have Hashimoto Disease . I found out then 3 wks later my husband of 37yrs left me 😢
Great lessons to learn
I just love you too, thank you for sharing this ❤
Aquaduct!
Be kind and move along. Yes! I need to tell myself this always
❤

Are you doing mat or reformer Pilates?
Reformer
Completely agree with giving of myself to others when I need to change my mindset. When I feel down or blah. I know it's time to put others first. It's not always easy but it's the right thing :) Then comes Joy! :)
There’s nothing better than watching your videos after a long day at work ❤ Love you!
Awee thank you sweet Maria🤍🤍
I think it will be so wonderful if there is a chance for you to share something more about taking a day off
