  • Dean Dillon's biggest hit, he took "Nobody In His Right Mind" to #25 on the Billboard Country chart in 1981 (RCA 12109). George Strait seemed to like Dean's songs, because he recorded a number of them.

I love hearing the song from the songwriter's POV. Interesting how George decided to slow it down.

Didn't Dean Dillon have a hit with a duet with Gary Stewart? I remember something called "Smokin in the Rockies, Rockin in the Smokies".

Dean wrote most of George Straits big hits....and Tennessee Whiskey , wrote for Kenny Chesney , with Toby Keith, probably one of the most awesome song writer of the last three decades...in The Hall of Fame...🤠👍

Wasn't a hit, but it was a minor chart single in early 80's. I think they might have had another one, as well.

I'm straight up a George Strait fan, he's the best there is, ever was, and ever will be! But I have to give the credit to Keith Whitley on this one!
