Bullytrax Music comments that he can hear an electronic pitch correction on this track. I don't think he does (I don't), but I have to wonder why he would rip such a fine performance. My guess is he doesn't have a musical bone in his body, but thinks he has golden ears. I would just LOVE to hear him sing something.

@BullytraxMusic Just in case anyone read my above comment, I should say that I just heard one of her live performances, and it sounded great. Just the way it should, with all the little imperfections, plus of course intentional variations in pitch, that make for a classic jazz vocal performance. I hope she has fired the guy that put her voice through the wringer like that by correcting the hell out of it, eliminating any kind of organic feel, which I'm sure must have been in the recorded track.

For some reason I hate how she pronounces it, it just kinda sounds lazy, but I mean everything else about her voice is amazing. I know that she's doing the pronunciation on purpose, but it just is kinda flat of amazing to my ears, maybe it'll grow on me later in life.
Liked the song, did not like the way her voice is - too orchestrated. I wish she sounded more natural and spontaneous.
She is definitely talented, and worth following her career development. I would be curious to hear her a few years later and when she will not need a "guy" to tell her where each pitch goes.
The song is beautiful of course, the bossa-esque arrangement is super cool, but... I can't help feeling disappointed that her voice has been violently pitch corrected all over the place, f.i. at 1:11 "so warm". It just renders the whole performance pointless when you can tell it's been done. And you can - I'd say either Melodyne or Pitch'n Time..;-) An intimate setup like this deserves a natural sounding voice, NOT a pitch corrected one. Who needs a robot whispering in your ear anyway...

How can you tell it was pitch corrected?? I agree live "imperfect" performances are more enjoyable.
@@susanwestby1792 It is actually quite easy to hear, when you're used to recording / producing vocals. The vocal tract is what physically produces the formants / overtones of the voice, whch are the frequencies that are somewhat fixed and thus give each human voice its unique character. However, when you sing, the vocal tract moves a bit as well, which alters the formants of the voice a little bit, upon singing different notes / frequencies. Conversely, if you hear a note being sung which is completely straight without any fluctuation in pitch at all, AND at the same time hear the vocal tract moving a bit, changing the formants of the voice, as it would upon singing different frequencies, you know that something is not right.. It is very subtle to the untrained ear, but I was able to spot it because I have spent countless hours editing and pitching recorded vocals. I would like to say also, that she is an incredibly talented singer, which you can clearly tell from her live performances. I just thought it was a pity to correct something which actually sounds better as is...
