I spent all day trying to use the sphere function under the purple form option, and was just too difficult; it appeared hollow in simulation yet printed solid and I waited like 15 hours for it to print. I wish I would’ve found this video much earlier, that was immensely helpful!!!
that was great. I was stuck on making a dome (need one to shape soft metal). first 30 sec of your video reminded me how to do it. the rest of your vid was great too. Now I am watching more of your work to see what i do not know. Thanks!
Do you have any information on how to separate the dome into gore sections and transfer the gores into a 2D view? Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated!
The shell command works great for the second step too. No sketches, just determine your dome wall thickness and apply the tool on the bottom face.

Why would you create a second (smaller) Dome to hollow this out. just use the "Shell" feature; way quicker and cleaner.
I can't get it to work this way when I tried. It tries to hollow it out like its a cylinder or something weird.
