- In part 5 of the SMEG EGF03 machine review
I tried to dial in the espresso on the 2nd try and frothed some milk for a milk based drink.

Excellent review. Thank you.
Hi CY, I appreciate your's skills, love and professionalism, I'll love coffee.
By the way I recently bought the smeg machine after many reviews I decide for this one, I'll love to know your opinion. and also your suggestion regarding breville, sage, and smeg please thank you and my congratulations for your channel
They are all good in their own ways. But what wins for me on the SMEG EGF03 is 58mm portafilter and a decent built-in conical grinder.
Cool video! Can’t really see, but it looks like the pressure gauge isn’t numbered 🤔
Hope I’m wrong cause it’s be pretty dumb and useless. Any idea how many bars of pressure it brews espresso at?
Dialing in is limited to exclude grind size, which can be a niggling factor for some.
I am disappointed in breville touch impress due to not hot enough coffee and watery taste. You think this can be a better option?
The SMEG EGF03 is definitely better than the barista express, barista pro, barista touch versions from Breville.
May I ask what makes you think so? I know the build quality is amazing but i notice it makes bitter coffee.
Adjust the temperature to be lower and choose a medium to medium light roast coffee. The fact that it has 2 thermal block is a win for me and also the grinder always produce fluffy ground.
How can i buy it ?
Can you please explain why I have 4 little plates ? 2 with holes 2 with no holes ?
Sure I will do a video on that soon!
How can I adjust the quantity of coffee that gets grinded?
Let me do that one soon!
Why is the water output of my smeg EGF03 so large?😢
I would also like to ask how do you adjust the parameters if it is a moderately roasted coffee bean?🙏
Actually there are 2 variables only on this machine, grind setting beng the most impt and 2ndly is the temperature bit the latter affects taste more than flow rate.
the wpm 310gb for about the same price maybe 30-40 dollars more. triple thermoblock, metal body
yeah maybe. I would prefer to get a machine with thermal block for espresso and boiler for steaming. Like my Quick Mill Sunny and built in flow control.
its true at that price.point.WPM is a good choice.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore there is also Buono BUO-265021 with built in grinder, not sure about internals, smaller PF but 545 usd. or aliexpress ITOP EM65 3in1 Semi-automatic Espresso Maker with Grinder Milk Froth Double Pump Double Boiler PID 317usd, amazing price for dual thermoblock and pro PF.
get yourself a tripod, my dude!
haha. have. too lazy to use it. so just free style😂
What grind size do you typically use on this machine
I will do a demo during tmr's live stream!
@@CaffeMartellaSingaporewill it be recorded
yes will be recorded
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore has it been posted
Hi Sherlyn, i did it on a live but not satisfy with the video quality and hence deleted it. Will be making another one soon!
Wie viele Funktionen hat eine Kaffeemühle?
It grind coffee and makes espresso and froth milk. Basically that's the function. And this machine does it quite well and has the look as well.
could you tell me in which country did it make?
Smeg is one of the leading Italian home appliance manufacturers. Production is carried out in 5 plants in Italy (Guastalla, Milan, Turin, Chieti and Bonferraro)
@@missrossis.4912 thanks for your help
on my box it says made in china :)
Ahah funny to read that this is better then touch impress lol.
58mm size portafilter, a good built-in grinder and dual thermal blocks are definitely a win.
how much the price is ?
Its around SG$1300
What would you give this machine out of 10?
7/10
The maker of this machine should've watched Red Dwarf before naming the machine maybe?
LOL. I agree and they should give the model a proper namr other than alphabets and numbers.
Thats a rebadged breville
definitely not😂😂much better than breville. At this price.point other breville machine cant brew and steam milk at the same time and uses a 58mm portafilter.
So you believe this is better than a sage ?
Definitely.
looks like a pressurised basket - disappointing. Also explains the ridiculous amount of crema
Nope it's not a pressurised basket.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore interesting - on their site they advertise with what looks very much like a pressurised basket. But that's good - weird that you got so much foam though, in that case
Depends on the beans, freshness and whether it has rubusta. I can't remember whether this blend has rubusta in it. If not, it should be a fairly recent roast which explains the good crema.
