- With this recipe, four persons can easily have a good lunch under 100/head. Matar Pulao is very famous and can be easily made with few ingredients.
Ingredients:
Ghee 4tbs 25rupees
Onion 2small
Garlic 3cloves
Black Cardamom 1
Green Cardamom 3
Cumin 1tbs
Cloves 5
Green Peas 500gms 150rupees
Salt 1tbs
Garam Masala Powder 1/2tsp
Water 3.5cups (hot preferably)
Soaked Rice 500gms 150rupees

Iam your big fan but I suggest you don’t have to say low cost budget for your dishes Karachi sells onions for 150 Rs tomatoes for 300rs fine rice for 300 rs or so peas too with such prices none of our dishes nowadays are low cost
Even if we consider the prices you mentioned above, this dish will cost anyone less than 100/serving, yielding around 4 servings. In this time of inflation is it bad, isn’t it low cost??

I love the low-cost series, and hope he keeps making more and more budget-friendly recipes. Times are hard here, I am sure everywhere around the world. Low cost doesn’t mean no cost. As you have correctly said none of our dishes are low cost. And since we have to eat, we have to accept the reality that food is going to cost something. What would you qualify as a low-cost meal?
