I went to Colombia to get my teeth done, I decide to take an excursion to the palenque village. It was life changing, like u said Africa is right in the middle of Colombia, what a beautiful place and beautiful people. It goes to show all the information they suppressed us from in school, once again the trip was life changing for the good.
I visited there on a whim while visiting Cartagena, won’t ever forget how genuinely kind everyone was to me. Our people are literally still gitt’n it outta the mud there- like for real, but they still shine like the brightest diamonds ever. Our black is truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing this brother.
I visited Panlenque in November 2023. It was magical. It felt like how I belive being in Africa would feel. I plan on visiting Palanque again. Cartegena , Columbia is one of my favorite spots and now also Palenque.
Thank you I’m just starting to travel. But I always say I want to experience the “real” parts of these countries NOT the pretty tourist areas but real life culture. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, other than buying souvenir to support the Palenque people, it would be wiser to sponsor or send school supplies, or even look into locale areas to donate or share the little bit we have. Great narration! Keep going!
The system is racist therefore it's impossible to see justice and equality. It's even hard to see the indigenous/native Colombian in most places let alone TV and so on. The only future for equality for all will from the young generation hopefully..
There is a Colombian news reporter who definitely has some black ancestry. She's gorgeous...her name is Ilia Calderón. Once there was a Black Colombian beauty contest winner and her nickname was Black Barbie.
I don't know what Colombian programs or news you watch because there are, actors, journalists, beauty queens and even players. In beauty queens there are many, only at the international level they have not represented the country so much, but there were, The Black Barbie, Andrea Tovar, and recently a girl from Buenaventura who looked like another Barbie, however, she did not win.
Finally! I watch so many vídeos about Columbia, but I have been skeptical because l don't know if a black person would be welcome. I am your skin color brother. Thanks for this vídeo.
Colombia is spelled with o. Yes, you'd be welcome. I've gone there on three different occasions and you're treated like anyone else. Most the fútbol ( soccer) players are Black or mixed. People there recognize the influence of Black culture in their food, clothes and music. Listen to bullerengue, cumbia, & salsa, etc.
@@digdug23It's not another country. What he is trying to explain is that there is a fusion of mixtures between Africans, Europeans, Indigenous and in some cases Arabs, and that mixture is reflected in the people, in the culture and gastronomy.

Hey dude, not everyone is clueless like black Americans my dude. People all around the world knows that black people are in Colombia. Black people are in every country in the Western Hemisphere , except Mexico due to slavery. Also, visit have fun and leave these people alone. Do not Americanize them. They do need your exposure
@@angeebb3080 I am not insulting anyone at all. But it just seems like it is always a wow factor when Black American realize that they are not the only black culture that exists on this planet. it's not a black American thing. it is an American thing. they are usually ignorant of geography, which hey do not teach in schools anymore. They are kids in other countries in poor countries that knows more about USA civics than college students in America. SO I am not aiming this shot at only black Americans
@@Righteousone18 Yes they are black people in Mexico, but they went there to live. They are natives or were they transported there via African slave trade.
I loved it there and had the best food…such a beautiful culture
Man I ate in the palenque village, what great food they have

I agree, but in the end it´s about meeting people. You can have a great experience in Bogota too if you have friends that can show you around
