Wow! They used their braids as a map to find their way to freedom. I am gonna be rockin my braids extra hard. African people are so creative. I would love to go there one day.
Love you my Black brothers.
From an African ✌🏿🖤
Be Black we are the Israelites that were scattered throughout the earth. Even the native Americans are our long lost brothers who migrated here thousands of years ago
Read Deuteronomy 28:15-68
Joel 3

which native Americans. The aboriginal native were black. If your talking about those paid euro-mix Mongolian natives then they owned blacks as slaves and been capturing them for Europeans
@@fastingislife3766 speak for yourself brother we are Africans not no damn Israelites and we don't follow no fairy tale biblical story. We stick to the universe/nature and our ancestors. Anything else is unexceptable

Beautiful right
Colombia was the second country to get the most Africans after Brazil
@@juanarias2658 I never knew that until recently. They never show us the black side in the US.
That's sad because there are Africans in all of America. In Honduras they escaped from the British and were given land on the coast. They still speak there language Garifuna and their music is now the nation music of Honduras. Punta!
They are in Colombia, this culture is sooo beautiful

This is one of the biggest reasons why Colombia is so rich in culture . The dances , food , music , and people are just a fusion of European , Native American , and African blood. Also a huge reason why our national team is full of pure raw talent . Viva Colombia papa !
Totalmente viva Colombia carajo!

Much Love to my Brothers from the United States!!! The irony is how we used the same strategies in the U.S. from the language (Gullah/Geechie), to the drums, to preservation of the motherland through dress and music inclination. 🖤🖤

Colombia also has a quarter million Jamaicans called Raizales who are the only Latin Americans to speak English
@@TheColombiano89 thank you didn't know.I will research on RUclips
@@paulettebrown6204 The San Andres and Providence islands Raizales are not necessarily Jamaicans. Some have ancestry from Jamaica as San Andres and Providence were British colonies before they became part of Colombia. Also, there are English-speaking regions in the Spanish-speaking countries, i.e., the Central American Caribbean coast is filled with Creole and English speakers. Check Limon Costa Rica, Bocas del Toro Panama, Bluefields Nicaragua, etc.
His story is similar to that of Haiti. We formed the Creole language amongst different tribes of francophone Africa so that the French couldn’t decipher what we were saying. I was born in NYC but speak Creole and French by grace of my grandmothers and parents.
Same in in Cape Verde islands kriole, we have alot of lexicon words, Africa, fulani mandiga bantu, mixture european old vocabulary, but in end that Congo music never can divide us🖤💯
In spanish and palenque you underestan
Hey guys, I need the help of you all. I am working on colonial iberean music, where african people were a common place. It is a sensitive topic, but I want to see how much of the words they use are really meaningful.
Here some of them:
Zarabanda tengueketengue
Sumbaca cucumbé
Caxué
Curubaca or curubaça
Etc.
Tnx
Thank you for keeping our history alive. 😢❤️
For me it was the drum beat messages being sent to others warning of danger and so forth. This can also be traced back to our South African culture. This is just amazing. We are one..

Very nice place, looks like a sad place though..., poor, and i understand that.
anywhere in america where we could see black communities, they would just be the forgotten ones
with no help from the white, the rich and racist man couldnt "stand" to see free slaves around him.
I wish i could visit this place.
Lol it’s weird u think sad to me they look very happy, simple joys amount to much❤️❤️❤️❤️
Interesting statement. "Sad place". True it has been neglected for centuries by a semi-colonial country that is ruled by a corrupt and self serving mestizo/white elite. coupled with a legacy of Plantation slavery. However we do not celebrate oppression/victimisation but our worth and struggle.
For the Africans to have escaped and founded this town and build it from scratch (there were many but this is the only surviving one) AND is still in existence is testament to human resilience.
It had suddenly become famous through social media and mainstream agencies such as UNESCO, thus getting support as a world heritage site. The people aren't sad, they are proud and possess confidence and self belief. All is required are funds to pave the road, provide electricity, running water
They won't get much from the semi-colonial rulers.
It has improved a lot in the last ten years.there is another area known as CHOCO. a region of beautiful rainforest and bio diversity, home to 89% African descent Colombians who look like they never left Africa. Same story the most neglected part of the country.
If it wasn’t for Haiti 🇭🇹 Columbia would be a colony of Spain.
True, Aysyen President Petion sent soldiers and weapons to Bolivar for the independence war against Spain.

PALENQUE: the site of a former Mayan city in SE Mexico, south-east of present-day Villahermosa. The well-preserved ruins of the city, which existed from about ad 300 to 900, include notable examples of Mayan architecture and extensive hieroglyphic texts. THE SO CALLED AFRICAN PEOPLES ARE THE INDIGENOUS 'MAYANS'.
Paleonia sería Polonia

JULIANNA OTALORA colombia is not a black country ok MISS .but HAÏTI is a black one ...so thx you
Rap, "brothers" , entitlement.....
Deuteronomy 7:6 Revelation 2:18
Vivaa el pornoooo
First no HAÏTI is the first one my nigga OK
First Pueblo not first country, that’s what he is saying
Haiti was free in 1804. PALEQUE was free in 1703!
It is the first Pueblo in Latin American history to be a free black operated community.
Not Haiti.
a lot of places claim to be the first, the island of Ayiti (& DR) were the first place to receive Afrikan captives in the hemisphere so was also the first place where Afrikans freed themselves.
Primitivos.
