I watch Mind pump show/clips /tv religiously. It's my workout Bible now. The idea of wanting to be a trainer never even entered my mind until I started assimilating the knowledge from you guys. Thank you so much

    Thanks for the chat guys.
I'm turning 40 next year, never hit a gym until I was 31. But when I did absolutely fell in love with movements like squats, deadlifts and lunges. After almost a decade, with my mentoring experience from my corporate job, I thought I'd be able to help the average person by being a PT. I finished my Cert III and IV in Australia and I'm starting at a commercial gym next Jan. Can't wait for it :)
I know it's going to be tough with a full time job and a family and have always pondered whether I'm too late to switch a career, but then I think nothing better than being able to transform the health and lifestyle of people.

I made the switch from a career of 25 years, even having my own business in it, until I decided to make the change to Personal Training at the beginning of this year. And I was 52 years old when I made the change. It's easily the best decision I've made in a long time, havent regretted it for one day. Like the Mindpump Guys say, you always have to be "ON", every client you have to bring high energy. And the days are long, I work about 30 total hours per week and it feels like you're working 50, but I've found it very satisfying and look forward to working every day. A year into this and I've learned so much on the job, and have managed to get good results for the clients who are willing to put in the work.

I love these dudes so much. I've been officially certified for a year now, and my anniversary of officially training will be January 1st. I've learned so much this first year because of yall and my mentors. I thrive more being a personal trainer than I ever have in my life. Training women has changed my life and changed me. ❤

It’s funny y’all mentioned Red Light Therapy and Acne. I recently started HRT with Testosterone only and it made me breakout SO bad, and the only thing I did differently was added my Red Light Therapy mask twice a day and WOW what a difference. Truly helped me out so much without having to change my skin care regimen 😊

What Sal said about the Gracie guy reminds me of what Bruce Lee said.
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks, but I fear the man who has practiced 1 kick 10,000 times."

If a mobility exercise makes me sore, e.g. 90/90s make my glute medius (I think) feel sore for a day or so - should I not do that mobility exercise every day at first and have rest days for it just like I would for traditional strength work?

01:11:05 anyone who is not emaciated has enough fat on their body to pull from, IF they're metabolically healthy and fat adapted. I always train 16-19 hrs fasted and crushing PRs while at it.
Noone needs to eat right before a workout in order not to get hypoglycemic. It's an electrolyte issue, Sal is right with salt. Working with many people, my experience is that it happens most to people who eat whole foods (that's great) but dabble in no man's land with carbs. Too low carb to go on that, but too high for really getting fat adapted.
It's totally worth giving up some gains in the short term, in order to go all-in on no carb & come back with soaring strength & all else once adapted. That's the way to go for long term health, in order to avoid glycation (early aging) of tissues.

    About ai:
It is getting more difficult to identify Ai, but if it goes for realism, it is still quite easy for me. It takes a keen eye but it's the hair. Eyebrows, hairlines and hair flow are just TOO clean. Oh and of course the examples at 38:22 have random hair across the forehead and criss crossing hair directions.
Also, Ai content is not "perfect". The more specific and original your demand is, the harder it is to get Ai to make it. But yea, if you have some rather vague idea and are ok with whatever you get, then it's fine. Right now it's not ready for truly creative professional use.

One of my neighbours has been dipping himself in cologne & if I end up in the same elevator I just get out on an earlier floor so I don’t pass out. It’s THE WORST.

01:13:32 😢??? oh yes, there is. Just because you don't see the effects right away, it doesn't mean it does no harm. Juices are like fructose concentrates, wrecking the body with glycation. It's also tricky 'cos the A1C test is not sensitive for fructose, so people can be in much worse shape than they think.

I would argue that good looking men and women make more money because they radiate more confidence naturally. That’s just my opinion. But I do see them get treated differently. However, some people treat good looking people like garbage because of jealousy.

  • @Szilvia_Szilvia

Last question: yes on the protein (250 g minimum) but the rest: no & wrong again! 😢
This guy is the perfect example why the whole "calories" idea is wrong. You can see on his face that he has systemic inflammation as a result of chronically activated Randle Cycle. He has to start working on becoming metabolically healthy asap, otherwise further consequences coming soon. ...and he seems to kind of know that, he said he wants health more than anything. Well, that will not happen with number pushing on so called "calories". Ever.

01:13:45 ...yeah, oatmeal....really? Carbs & fiber before 05:30 in the morning? That will make his body use the energy he has trying to digest and so NOT perform all through his workout. Not to mention what it does to hunger signals for the whole day. Blood glucose up & down pre-programmed....great....NO.

Any trainer that talks polititics or religion is a no go for me. That includes trainers that wear t-shirts that express those views, like the face of Milton Friedman being on a t-shirt.

I'm gonna say something that maybe controversial to some people, but Elf is an overrated Christmas movie. I watched it the other day and just didn't laugh.
