I'm turning 50 this year and love it...the playfulness remains, but the worrying about it has gone. It was in my 40's that I started to love the ride and who I was. Love Xx.
Bowie said the best place to be as an artist is out in the water at the point where you just can't reach the bottom - not too deep, but not in the safe, shallows either. Sounds like maybe you're finding that place. Your content has always been great, but you may become something even bigger and better. I wasn't sure when your bday was and thought it was before mine, but since you stated it was April 10th, I edited the before to after. But mines April 1st, I'm not a prankster or anything like, but I'm frequently told once people find out when mine is, that it explains a lot.

ya all the stuff you said is right on. for me im going to turn 50 this fall it took about 3 years for things to change. one of them was not caring what others thought of me another one was being a stage hand not taking back to back late nite to morning calls and valuing my sleep and body over $$ because they will replace you fast and i dont want to be a old broken guy.

I turned 40 last month. That feeling of letting myself let go a little bit and be gentler with myself is something I'm... still trying to figure it out? But it has made life easier.
I am also still a 40-year-old child. I'm OK with that more than I used to be.

Happy birthday, I celebrated 48 years 3 months ago, and I realy was celebrating. Because my father past away when he was 45. So every day is a gift for me. And I took my teenage daughter to an ice ring. It was 30 years sins I used ice skates, so first 5 minutes was realy scary, but after that, we had so match fun. It was realy great. English is not my native language, but I live by :today is a gift, that's why it's called present. It is short version from Kun fu panda movie.
40 is the new 25. I turned 47 last sunday but I'm still feeling as I'm in my mid 20s
You cannot buy wisdom, it only comes with experience. The older you get (I'm 44) the more you realise there is more to life than money, and 'stuff'. The more you learn to be frugal, the less you need to work. Take jobs on your own terms, even if it means you sometimes miss-out. Life is to be enjoyed, not a constant grind. I hope you find your peace.
