The best thing about this pod is that it's personal stories about the old days, not just talking about comedy clubs and politics. The worst part is they're only 30 minutes and not 2 hours!
They definitely should be a little longer like forty five minutes... I know he was trying to do a shorter podcast than the honey dew but a little longer I think would be great make a big difference
I think the format is perfect because it leaves more stories for future episodes when a guest returns. Otherwise we would end up just hearing the same story over and over. Ryan nailed it with this format.
I don’t know how many comment have to tell you this Ryan but make these longer PLEASE!!!! You have tons of people here that will watch the longer episodes we will not let this fail
Mr. Mewes has been an inspiration to me since I was 13. I am now 36, but I lived that life of Snoogans and now I'm on that path to sobriety. Thank you Jay. You've made it okay to be a fuck up, because as fuck ups, we can change.
DUDE. YES. Jay Mewes has brought me so many laughs. Clerks 2, to this day, is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It truly shaped me and my friends’ sense of humor.
This is the only podcast I watch instead of listening to while driving for the pictures and wholesome interactions. Ryan is so infectiously heart warming ❤️
Fun little fact about King Charles Cavalier Spaniels they're allowed into any public place like shops and pubs and bars and restraunts in the UK and no one can do anything about it as they're the kings dog
I'm 46 but you should ask people about toys!!! Yeah everybody gets into hijinks but if you grew up in the late 70s 80s and early 90s it's all about toys!!! Just a suggestion. Love every episode and love the honeydew. You're special is dope by the way. Rommain from Minnesota.
I grew up in Indiana, we had a covered bridge by where I lived & we used to jump off of it into the river... just like Ryan. The thing that made us quit was an accident after a big storm. Some kids were jumping but bcuz of the storm/amount of water the river had shifted an underwater sandbar so it was only 3-4ft deep a third of the way across. The kids didn't even swim out & check the landing zone before jumping either. They jumped one after the other one hitting the sandbar, he was shook up but essentially fine, the other landed in the deep channel... but on a submerged log about 2ft under the surface. It just happened to be drifting by when he leaped, he was/is paralyzed for life. If you're jumping into a lake or river always check your landing zone before jumping in
I love Sickler and how real his podcasts are. I'm still amazed at the amount of ads during this pod, since it's so short. Not only ad reads, but RUclips ads. I get that makes Sickler money, which hell yeah--get it, and I'm still definitely going to watch. Just crazy.
Ryan's brother seems to be at the root of alot of his stories. He should do some special episodes where he brother is co-host and the comedian guest can bring their siblings who was involved in alot of their childhood stories. Then we can get both perspectives.
It’s a shame that this series is not as popular as it should be. Not the typical podcast questions, and you can tell each guest really enjoys reminiscing and opening about their childhood and thinking about things they probably haven’t thought about in decades
I bought a daisy bb gun when I was in the US in 2015. It blew my mind that it was just sitting on the shelf, not even in a cabinet. Also it was like $15. I always wanted one when I was a kid but most I was allowed was a slingshot (which was still fun).
His story about NJ stores not selling kids eggs is true, but it extended beyond just Mischief Night. I never did any property damage things when I was a kid. We used to take things from other houses nearby and put it on a neighbor's yard, such as garden gnomes or for sale signs. One time I bought eggs at the supermarket because I was going to my friend's house. He always made these great omelettes and we were both fat kids. The store must have called the cops on me, because two cops pulled up behind me as I'm going towards his house about 1,000 feet away and they started searching through my backpack of clothes. They let me keep the eggs, but they said if anyone in this town reports eggs being thrown, you're getting blamed. I'm still a kid, who thinks he is now responsible for the security of the entire town! That's how I learned that I wasn't allowed to buy eggs until I looked like an adult....still waiting for that to happen.
The first time I killed a bird, i wasn't prepared for all the flipping and flopped. I just kept putting bb's in it while scream crying "I'm sorry please just die". Now i just bass fish and always catch and release
Can’t pump your own gas? I’ve never heard of that before. I remember back in the day there was a few full service stations around here that someone would come out and pump your gas for you and maybe wash your windshield but we never went to those cause we were poor and dad didn’t wanna tip the attendant guy 🤣
17:39 its so insane that shit has changed so much that a man says to himself "i probably shouldnt say this" about a 30 year old story of kids fuckin around. But a transmission and go read ur kid books at the library, were so fucked😂 (Not hating on jason, just a shame that normal people with normal stories have to worry about backlash but if ur the member of the right group u can do whatever u want)
Wish the way back was just a little bit longer like forty five minutes would be perfect I think 🤔 a half hour is just a little too short..I know Ryan wanted it to be short form it doesn't have to be like the honey dew but forty five minutes would be great 🎉🎉🎉

Thank god honestly, I can’t stand that screeching seagull fake laugh he has to shoe horn in…

Damn Jason looks good!! No diddy, he looks happy and healthy
That good meth
Right! I'm glad to see him looking healthier than ever.
Looks like he got his shit together. Good to see!
@@ChillllllbruhHe wasn't even on meth at any point. Alot of alcohol and Opiates.
Always makes me happy to see. He's been doing great for ages, much love to both Jay and Ryan!

Hell yeah, keep fighting the good fight. It's never too late to quit the BS and start to live rather than just exist.
We were fuck ups when we were down. After being down only way is to go the fuck up!🤘🏽

Hey, did you know Jesus was a Jew?
I've watched Clerks, especially Clerks 2 at least 100 times. All time fav.😂😂😂
@@hollowice999I thought his name was Jewsus.
Jason Mewes is endlessly fascinating. Please keep having him on.
18:00 - "Too laaaaaate!" 😆 Mewes is awesome and looking well.
Princess is the sweetest little dog ever 🐶
Man, I did not want this one to end! I was reliving a lot of my childhood and teen years listening to this.
I’m so glad Ryan started this pod. Love ya Ryan
Jason and princess was absolutely adorable

Hearing Jason mewes talk about the Misfits and Minor Threat hits my soul
misfits do originate in jersey then you got over the hill the dc scene
This show rocks. The pictures really add a lot. Great work ❤
Love the"Old Days" stories!

So your going to wreck your vehicle and potentially kill someone just to see pictures? Wtf is wrong with you?
@@thelostsoul5531 I meant I would normally listen to while driving, and instead I watch this one at home. Thanks for the help dumbass! ❤️
I just watched Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back again on RUclips. Jason is so damn funny. Ryan, these need to be longer.
Great episode again Mr Laugh.😃👏👏
I too used to put snowballs In the freezer for summer use.
And because of my son, I still do.😅🤣

PA to Texas... Having the time of our lives, not a care in the world...

Nice to see Matthew McConauhhey from Dallas buyers club on the pod.
