Went to this today(didnt go down). thats scary and such high consequence. Your basically climbing on the outside of the railing of a 20th floor balcony. No joke this one. Most dangerous thing to do in the gorge besides jump
No lie I got kinda “roped” into this one and don’t think I’ll be repeating it in my life. I’ve watched a friend climb down from the overlook on the opposite side of the nest too… insane
Killer spot. I got my start at Eagle's Nest which led me to climbing mountains in the Rockies. The worst thing about the Gorge is the amount of graffiti carved in the rocks. A lot more respect for the land out West.
My favorite spot. First time at eagles nest I was repelling and got my hair stuck in the 8 ring. Only like 250 feet off the ground though so I only freaked out a shit ton.
They got me with the old bait and switch. I was worried about going down the crack and they're all "Just go for it, it's not that bad." I thought getting into the nest was the easy part. Then I get down there and there's no turning back then :)
Yep, used to hang with his older brother quite a bit. Been in that nest more than a few times, heh. Got caught in there in the rain one time, that was no bueno.
OMG! Eagles Nest is my happy spot but I’ve never been down the crack! It’s definitely on the checklist. I’m coming back from CA for that little nook.

When we got to the top I couldn't even go near the edge but after 10 of my friends climbed in the peer pressure got to me :)
Yeah it was a little scary. Coming out was worse than going in.
Yeah that's true. The popular spots are the worst tho, if you find trails that are off the beaten path there are some unmolested areas.
