I'm on a military base here in Germany, and our current play at the performaing arts center is doing this musical! It just opened this past Friday night, and runs for the next 3 weekends. My husband and I saw it last night, along with a big group of our friends. My best friend was the Indian Ancestor. It was hilarious! My friend said she could hear my husband laughing from backstage!

I played lurch in this. It was one of my favorite plays I have been in. And I have been in alot. It was one of the first times I have been a lead. And since lurch is technically part of the family I was able to be in the intro and alot that others weren't . I didnt have to memorize any lines, All I really did was grunt. I did memorize the stuff since I was also Festers Understudy. Just in a couple rehersals . (Never needed, but in case he wasnt in)

This years annual October celebration’s musical is this. Sadly middle schoolers aren’t allowed to audition but I have a lot of high school friends in it. I love the music - but I don't care for these lyrics. Holy Exposition! The addams family is teaching you how to be an addams? No subtlty to their nature as in the TV show or movies or even the comic strip. The Addams thought they were "normal." They wouldn't tout their "weirdness" as anything special - because they thought they would think everyone was basically the same as them. That's the charm. The whole idea of them being "strange" and thinking they were completely "normal" as everyone else. Other than that, the music its'elf is great
