To be honest, he fits everything but Sister. A good man that can come off as cold and stubborn, but is actually kind, but also sadistic enough to give his son a whoopin in a fast, easy to drive car, smiling as he surprisingly takes the gutter too.
Not gonna happen for multiple reasons, one reason is that Takumi is roughly based on Keiichi Tsuchiya so high majority of the story is what he did when he was young so to make the story they would need to write brand new full script out of thin air which would be a ton of work to stick to lore as it was... Also Bunta was a racer at his prime, not a street racer... So watching him winning almost all of his races on race tracks would not be fun to watch at all... he stopped racing and openned a tofu shop to take care of Takumi after his mom passed away and then he taught Takumi how to drive trough Tofu deliveries... what would be fun is probably prequel where Takumi started driving for the first time but since that never happened to Keiichi, its a bit weird and also something like that would made even more plot holes... Wait for MF Ghost, a sequel to Initial D with modern cars... hopefully it will have Eurobeat unlike Initial D Legend series which were cool but soundtrack was super bad
