Nice that you were the impetus for Zach to run this race. ....... I always wondered about bathroom routines of elite runners.. Thanks for leaving that stuff in. The more TMI the better.
Hey brother! Just finished first ever 50 kilometres race. I must say, big thank you for the best race advice you’ve given me “ don’t be an idiot in the first half of the race and don’t be a wimp in the next half”. Really awesome advice & helped me at crucial stages. Thank you so much Billy. And wonderful videos by the way.
I get the notification for a new Billy Yang film, I click the “like” button. But seriously, your films are always such a treat, man. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. If anyone reads this comment and you have a little change to spare consider supporting this great guy on Patreon. 👍
What an amazing adventure! The terrain reminds me a lot of Wales, but without the worry or bears. Dammit I love Zach Miller, what a legend he is. If you guys ever want to come explore Wales, hit me up.
Props to you Billy for doing your thing and capturing these events. Clearly a lot of people really enjoy and appreciate it! And damn, 3h for 22 mile. Must have been extremely-brutally-technical! :P And what amazing scenery. This is why I'm drawn to trail running. Thanks Billy!
Oh man, great video, and excellent job capturing what it's really like in that part of Alaska. I grew up there, and ran Mt. Marathon as a "junior" back in '78 (way before there was ever a lottery). The rainy, cold summers. The broken car windshields. The dirt roads. The homes littered across the countryside. The fireweeds. Sunlit skies at night. And the fear of "real" bears. Yep.......you nailed it. That's Alaska!
I love to see our great Alaska trails on film for all to see. I was also under-trained for the crow pass crossing but proudly finished. Thanks for bringing the big guns but I’m glad an Alaskan won. 🙂
Now go and do the Resurrection Pass 50 or 100! It's every year in mid-August. As a former Alaskan runner and resident from 2014-2018, I miss the amazing trails and nature compared to the super flat, urban east coast, so I'm always stoked when I get to go back!
Another awesome video Billy! I especially enjoyed the soundtrack to this one. You are a talented dude and story teller! It's gonna be fun hanging out with Zach Miller.
I had always planned to visit Alaska .. such an amazingly beautiful state.. It is unlikely I will make it now .. so videos like these are golden .. Thank you for filming your adventures ! : D
Great video, I live in eagle River and we love it here. Hope you enjoyed moose's tooth and Seward. We will be headed down there in a couple weeks, my wife is part of a relay team for the Alaska relay that goes from chugiak(north of eagle River) to Seward.
Great simultaneously inspirational and relaxing movie. Thank you very much, Billy! If you will have time and desire -- come to New Mexico, we have quite a few trail runs hear and nature is beautiful! :-)
That was amazing video! You looked so happy and you brought focus to a race in a area of exquisite beauty. I hope you have many more moments like these to feel inspired and "alive." Thank you for sharing it with us.
Another great film Billy 😀 I’ve been watching your channel ever since you did that awesome film with the Nike team in Chamonix. You’ve inspired me to start my own running related RUclips channel, so thanks for the inspiration 👍🏻
What a beautiful, fun little film. When I saw you around Leadville a few weeks ago I wanted to say "hey I'm a youtuber too, let's be best friends" but thankfully thought better of it. Respect, my man!
you all probably dont care at all but does someone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Yeah, I was waiting for some footage of a bear or two. Even a bear that was off in the distance or something. Or a moose. Still a great running video though.
seoul588 who is “they”? I edited the piece so you can always blame me but there’s no denying Scott’s talent and resume. Not to mention he is a really nice and genuine guy. At the end of the day, this was just a documentation of 3 dudes having fun in Alaska :)
Billy Yang Films I meant at the ten minute mark race introductions. They made a big deal of the out-of-towner folks. Just seemed to bypass Scott. Maybe because he's a known entity to those in attendance.
The out-of-towner folks race internationally and win races whereas Scott is pretty low key with his races. The point of the organizer of making a big deal with them so that it will attract more runners around the world. Scott is very talented but he needs to get out/race more outside Alaska.
"The Billy Yang Memorial 5K"! That was hilarious! 😂 I'm glad you didn't die Billy!!!🤗❤
Became a fan of Zach after watching a couple of your films... God Bless.
Nice that you were the impetus for Zach to run this race. ....... I always wondered about bathroom routines of elite runners.. Thanks for leaving that stuff in. The more TMI the better.
How in the world is this the first time seeing this ⁉️⁉️⁉️Love Billy & Zach!!!
Beautiful film making and story telling. No one does it better.. thanks Billy 🙌🏻
Hi ben
THAT’S why I miss Alaska every. Single. Day. Thanks Billy.

The only thing that could make this channel better would be a few more videos every year. Keep up the great work!
What an amazing adventure! The terrain reminds me a lot of Wales, but without the worry or bears.

Love Zach too. How can you not?
What country are you from again?
A new slogan for Snowdonia Nat'l Park, "Like Alaska, but with more climbers and less bears!" (aka. no bears) :-D

Very Nice congratulations
Great video Billy!
Wish they gave Scott Patterson more credit, the guy may be local and a skier, but he's legit.
seoul588 who is “they”? I edited the piece so you can always blame me but there’s no denying Scott’s talent and resume. Not to mention he is a really nice and genuine guy. At the end of the day, this was just a documentation of 3 dudes having fun in Alaska :)
