After enduring that trip from Inverness to Milan, crawling to the hotel, you woke up the next morning and thought "You know what, I'm gonna hop on Flixbus again for a lovely 22 hours. Good day for it"? You are a glutton for punishment Scott 😀
A we thought.Scott as someone who now needs some assistance through an airport these days, maybe a feature on how it works!! Just thought. We always enjoy your videos. Jimmy and David 🍻👍🥂

100 years from now, there will be stories about this ghost riding the remaining long haul bus lines through Europe - always appearing on seat 2A accompanied by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. You already are a legend Scott! Thanks for sharing!
We have just completed a trip to Italy using the trains from London. Eurostar to Paris. De Lyon to Chambery Coach from Chambery to Turin (Flixbus) Overnight train from Turin to Naples. Naples to Rome. Rome to Bologna. Bologna to lake Como. Lake Como to Paris via Basel, Strasbourg. Would highly recommend the railway services. Great video and thoroughly enjoyed.
Catania has some pretty heavy roadworks at present. Im currently down on the south of the Island in Licata and i was in Catania last week. M25 has nothing on it at present!! Catania though is an amazing cosmo culture with some amazing architecture. And if you are ever down in the south of the island drop us a line! We can go sailing 😊. Agrigento (valley of the temples, truly amazing) brave man doing the bus ride. We did the train to Rome from Catania in May!! 8 hours a lot more comfortable. Keep up the great vids and thanks for sharing.
I was in Palermo last year for a couple of days and it is a gorgeous city with a rustic nature. It may seem rough but the character of the city where it presents itself as "this is how it is," made me fall in love with the city. Also, the fact that it does not do this faux thing of trying to appeal to tourists with people who allow you to speak Italian (I didn't come across a lot of people who could speak English), made it one of the most enjoyable places I had been to in Italy. You also might enjoy the train that apparently goes from Milan/Rome to Palermo. Since there is no bridge over the strait of Messina, the train carriage detaches and is loaded onto a ferry where it then connects to the tracks on the other side and heads onto Palermo. It takes around 12 hours I think. Nice video!
I actually found myself getting irritated by the problems you encountered! Need to carry a taser for any hands or feet that encroach on your space (and maybe for the flixbus driver who gets angry at anyone filming in the same postcode!) Another mammoth journey, nothing to the last one of course, but I STILL couldn't do the 22 hours! Well done!
I nearly spat coffee all over the couch when that Beavis and Butthead snippet entered out of nowhere, following the «Breaking the law» comment 😂 Great video, as always.
Well done Scott on another fantastic video. I wouldn’t bother about anyone giving you the lectures because as you said in the end your a RUclipsr and you put a lot of work in so people like us can enjoy the finished product, I have to take a photo of Voyager of the Seas when in Sydney. All the best and brilliant work.
Thanks so much Scott for filming Milan-Palermo by bus and ferry. So many rail vloggers have covered the train and ferry journey but this way is so different.
What a fascinating trip. I really ought to visit Sicliy one day. I've flown over it a few times en route to Malta, but I should look in to a trip. Excited to see what you get up to there.
Back in the 1970’s I did a bus trip from London to Brindisi, run by Halcyon. Took us to the outskirts of Paris, thru Germany, down to Mount Blanc and down the east coast of Italy.
Scott! If you get the chance, take the coach from London to De Panne, Belgium (Flix Bus) near the French border. Then take a ride along the coast of Belgium on the Coast Tram all the way to Knokke near the Dutch border. Very highly recommended! The tram costs just a few euros.
I take the Flixbus between Siena and Bologna fairly regularly. That's as much as I can endure, I often feel sorry for the poor souls who are already on the bus and still on it when I get off. Now I know what happens to them! Number one tip for travelling on Flixbus...book the seat furthest away from the onboard toilets as possible.
Also, you need to make yourself familiar with the laws around filming in public in Italy. Technically, you should seek permission, a permit or notify the appropriate authority. This applies to public or private property (including most streets). Most tourists in tourist areas are not going to be stopped, but maybe a Flixbus carpark would be a bit difficult to explain?
Thank you for not taking the easy route, and flying direct from Milan to Palermo! This was most entertaining, and I look forward to the next video about your stay in Palermo. I really enjoy watching the challenges that you take on for RUclips.
Another wonderful and educational video - thanks. I think it's the first I've watched without any reference to 'cruising altitude'! I was fascinated to hear the people near you talking in Italian for several minutes. I will get Google Translate fired up and check if they were talking about a lone Scotsman taking videos of them getting on their coach!
That intro certainly caught the spirit and beauty of Milan! Perhaps the bus driver was just embarrassed at the thought of you filming him in such a s***hole!
Thanks so much for this video! I just booked it in the different direction. I actually booked it for the full route to Aosta, as I had a coupon for any trip. Don't know, if I look forward for it, after the video, but I really appreciated it! Thanks for the video!
Fabulous views excellent scenery, apart from people throwing there hands, all over the place and the bus driver i think a lot them love to have power trips as always excellent video quiet the journey as well fair play to you i dont know where you get the energy from i will most definitely look up those drinks they look good
Glad to see you've got an independent sponsor 😊 you've definitely got me intrigued! I rarely drink soft drinks as since just before that whole sugar tax thing they have all tasted like watery rubbish with no mouth feel - including my favourite Ben Shaws Dandelion & Burdock..... Bring back good pop!
The door you referred to as Porta Castiglione in reality is called Porta Lame. Porta Castiglione is a bit on the oppoaite side of it. Anyway, great journey overall it seemed. I live in Malta, not far from Sicily, but so far I never ever even thought of using long distance coaches between Sicily and mainland italy yet
Hi Scott, Would you ever consider teaming up with Steve Marsh again and completing the challenge of "Around the world in 79 days" try and see if you can beat Michael Palin by one day. Rules travel within time without no plane travel, every country you travel through you must try the local cuisine, you must attend one football match and one theatre show whilst on your travels. That sound like your ticket.
I’m sure there’s a very good rail link from Milan to Sicily that includes the train going on the ferry….. also sleeping cars. A much better option than the bus! Even Ryanair would be better!
That was an interesting video. You can do this same journey by train in a similar time, and the train actually crosses on the ferry. The only place I know of where a train goes on a ferry.
As if Flixbussing from Inverness to Milan wasn't enough, you decide to go even further down Italy! What's next? Getting a ferry across the Med to Tunisia and catching buses across Africa? That would take insane to the next level.
Good morning Scott, I enjoyed watching your RUclips video! I was thinking about taking a trip, however, it is the high cost of traveling nowadays and the hassle of traveling especially if you are taking a transatlantic flight to the UK/Europe that makes me think twice about taking a trip, Thank-you for the video, Alister Ian Hoult, Carrying Place, Ontario, Canada.
One of my bucket list things it to do this journey, but by train, so I can experience the sleeper train being shunted onto the ferry to go across the sea. Not many places left where you can do that.
Great video Scott. It could have been worse, the bus driver might have made you an offer you couldn't refuse. 🤔If in your head you are hearing the song "Speak Softly, Love" you will understand that comment. 😉👍.

You already are a legend Scott! Thanks for sharing!
Coffee helps make these journeys a little more bearable... but only just.
There's not many youtubers that lift my mood when I see a new video, but yours is definitely one of them 👊
There are some lovely people on RUclips, Scott and Steve Marsh are up there with the best!
Scott and Steve in the same weekend...
You two are head and shoulders above anyone else ...Thanks for the Great entertainment!!👌
A well-timed, and uncovered sneeze will make them think again

I do look forward to your videos... So random and very different to what others do. Fantastic

Back in the 1970’s I did a bus trip from London to Brindisi, run by Halcyon. Took us to the outskirts of Paris, thru Germany, down to Mount Blanc and down the east coast of Italy.
Nice to see a lot of people riding the tram.
I would do this in a heartbeat...covers so many places that you would never even get a glimpse of it you were flying or even on the train.
I agree, but I think I'd do it in stages with time to look around each place of interest en route
Scott! If you get the chance, take the coach from London to De Panne, Belgium (Flix Bus) near the French border. Then take a ride along the coast of Belgium on the Coast Tram all the way to Knokke near the Dutch border. Very highly recommended! The tram costs just a few euros.

A suggestion for a future trip,,,,fly to Bologna, then take the monorail, the Marconi Express, into Bologna. It's well worth a day or two.
